Part time employees still pay in and are eligible for social security. You only need to to earn $1300 a year in 2017 to earn a social security credit.
"Social security" in actual countries is unemployment, healthcare and pension benefits. Something you get here at 451,- salary (and the package costs you about 90 bucks for all of it half of it payed by the employer).
The mandate doesn't cover part time jobs and Obama was naive (?) enough to believe those yuge successful corporations that prefer to bog police with their issues instead of paying their own security and have thousands of employees requiring food stamps would suddenly change their M.O.

(That's btw the same companies that operate over here under local regulations.. Starbucks, McDonald's, Burgerking...)
Eh, and not even store managers are allowed to give good employees full time positions. They have to fill them with part time noodles, regardless of their performance. Awesome corporations.

And Epstein is a generational imbecile. Like one of those quack doctors who's only treatment to all symptoms is bloodletting. Cold? Bloodletting. Cancer? Bloodletting. Hairloss? A wig.

You actually think that shook out the way it did from Obama being naive? Leaving a loophole the size of Texas for corporations to use to save money from the mandate in order to force a wave of new part time employees onto government subsidized plans?

No. I think that Lieberman fiddled around like clueless indoctrinated madman *) with the ACA and removed the public option as well as special interest groups capping the penalty on employer for having uninsured full time employees.

*) or paid hack .. he did receive over 30 mio in campaign donations over time and the usual highly endowed positions after his career, which amount to easily 10x the salary he gets as public servant.

The Resistance seems to have transitioned into a full scale Rebellion.

The Senate unanimously voted to hold pro forma sessions during the recess just to block any recess appointments of, say, a new Attorney General-who-is-willing-to-fire-Mueller.
There are 2 new Bills, with bipartisan support, that seek to defend the Special Counsel from being fired summarily.
McMasters fired Ezra Cohen.
Kelly fired Scaramoucci.
Both House and Senate sent a Russian Sanctions bill to remove control from the President, with staggeringly huge, veto-proof majorities, forcing him to sign.
The Military basically refused to implement the ban on Transgender service people.
The Senate scoffed at the directive to restart Repeal & Replace.
Leaks of phone calls sprang up anew, embarrassing Trump.

And the Grand Jury started subpoenas.
All in the same week.

Wow.
So who is behind these leaks?

Well who is going to benefit? And would have backing of the GOP at the Senate and House levels? And have the highest level of access?
Yep. Mike Pence is my horse here.

A lot of what Trump says doesn't hold water. A jury of his peers might have an insight into all these leaks. But I'm sure there's lots still to flood out, and I'm sure there are a lot of aides that have a lot of juicy info on Trump. They're bursting to let it all out but have been holding it back for a later time at their own convenience.

But Trump has made his own bed and now he has to sleep in it.

How are they going to get this jury of his peers, when mental hospitals do not permit the hypomania inpatients to leave the premises?

I would say that no matter how hard the law makers try to get it right; in this case, stopping exploitation of workers etc.. Someone would have worked out an angle for the bosses. Game players are not the only experts at finding exploits.

Has this investigative jury been sworn in yet? Forgetting the 'of his peers jokes'; I would say that it would be hard to find enough, uninformed and impartial people to sit on it.

Hypomaniac? I Googled it and it seems likely. He famously avoids drink, and he does suffer "inflated self-esteem or grandiosity".
Thanks buddy; now I have to google it myself.

Edit:- Fair enough, just a little bit nuts, sometimes; maybe. Logically; that could be a secret job requirement for many of the, so called world leaders, we have today.

They would have been sitting for a while. This explains everything about this:

It's gone a bit beyond the pale now. If Trump were to fire Mueller I there is enough already to get a handful of people charged, including Kushner.

He shows strong symptoms of several personality disorders. One that he exhibits very strongly in is Histrionic Personality Disorder.

Yep; read that and had to wake myself up at about 17.

Taking a while is only good for Lord Chump; although any other job an accusation or investigation of any form of misconduct, would require immediate suspension of duties, with full pay of course. I am wondering how many times, Mr Pence has stood in front of the mirror, practising his new pledge; in that last few weeks.

Taking a while is only good for Lord Chump;

Not so. Each day this goes on more and more evidence is being piled on - or else the investigation would conclude and they'd go with what they already have. The more evidence that Mueller gathers the harder it will be for Trump to remove him.

Not only that, but each day this continues further damages Trump with the Republicans, be it the politicians or the more non-partisan Republican voters. This weakens his power to act autocratically, and also makes it difficult to fire Mueller.

If this investigation is still ongoing after September that would be indicative of some major crimes. There will be a feeding frenzy of lower-level Trump staffers offering testimony in return for immunity.

I hate to go all 'internet expert' here, but I disagree. I understand that the formal DSM description kinda matches in a way, depending on how you look but actual people in a state of hypomania simply behave differently. Its really lacks the 'pressure' people in a hypomanic state exhibit. His speech is disorganised, but not the forcefulness 'flight of ideas' that is associated with hypomania.

This is harder to flat-out deny, but it is important to point out that people can superficially resemble all kinds of disorders for completely unrelated reasons. When I was still in clinical psychology I've had patients brought being suspected of suffering severely from all manners of disorders or illnesses. Quite a few needed little more than some solid sleep and a few days of rest. Remember Trump is an old man under insane stress, admittedly known for not dealing with criticism well, who has come to see he vastly underestimated the job he now feels locked in to. Many people would exhibit signs of psychiatric problems in such a situation.

It really is incredibly difficult to 'diagnose' someone based on media exposure, including twitter. And while it is fun, it can be harmful to actual patients. For example, poor reporting resulted in half the people still thinking schizophrenia means having multiple personalities. Lets take it easy before people get labeled with 'that Trump disorder'...

No disrespect; but he simply shows the signs of a spoilt son of a despotic plutocrat. Who has been surrounded by 'yes men' and sycophants for the last 60+ years. Someone who can barely grasp the concept of being wrong, about anything; because there have been very few people in his life, to explain that concept to him any time he has been wrong about something. In fact; I would say that most of his minions, have reinforced his beliefs, by helping him blame others, when things don't go to his own plan. Now he is in a position of having people, of equal standing; pointing out the errors in his thinking and explaining, why he cannot just say it and make it happen.

Yes; agreed, this does display itself as a form of mania; but we, the public only get to see seconds, sometimes minutes, of his existence and so we are not really in a position to judge. Which would bring us back to his life and upbringing. If a doctor was asked to examine him and pass judgement; the diagnosis, would depend on who was paying the bill.

Yeah, but some had convinced themselves he was an 'outsider' billionaire who cared about the common folks and would create jobs for Americans.

I just saw on the TV that the US economy is flourishing. In July, 210000 jobs were created and the wages increased. One of the rare successes of Trump

Economies lag behind politics. Think about it - you don't start hiring people because someone won an election, you hire because business is improving, and that takes time. Not only that, but Trump hasn't actually done much in the way of economic legislation yet.

Those good indicators are due to left-over policies of the Obama administration, not Trump.

Heh, I didnt want to put it so bluntly. More technically:"Following the heteroamnesis it was concluded patient T. did not suffer from a cyclic pattern with phases of reduced cognitive ability. Instead, the patient most likely is merely an ignoramus. Further medical treatment is unlikely to improve the patient's quality of life, and likely to reduce the QoL of medical staff."
