Howws This Gonna Go Dowwn?

2,588.07Ly's out from the bubble,
2,756.85Ly's to destination.
and the full 5,345.25Ly's back home.
Dang ol' dunn forgot to equip AFMU's.

Modules are falling apart, mainly concern'd with
thrusters 65% and life support 59%.
everything is prioritized to be as efficent as possible.

so whats gonna happen first,??
1..)thrusters go out, sending me spinning into a star.

2..)life support goes offline, canopy freezes up as I aspyxiate.

3..)arrive at destination unable to scan bodie(s)
(ADS 54%) and throww my controller through Tele
In a fit of rage.

So what's it gonna be??????

If you are careful, you should be able to finish your journey. Life support appears to be your most pressing issue. You didn't mention your hull, which is another big factor. If your thrusters wind up at zero, use your right panel option to "reboot" your ship. Every module that's at zero will get a slight boost, but you won't get more oxygen for your life support. Even if your hull reaches zero, that's not a killer (in and of itself). You will just need to avoid interdiction and land very carefully.

Good luck! o7

Inara.

Do a search for AFMU's closest to your location. There might just be something a reasonable distance from your current location or destination. If not, go back while you still have a viable ship. There's always the self destruct option, if the re-buy isn't over the top. At least that would return you to the last place you undocked from.

Something is seriously wrong if you cannot make that distance without breaking your ship.

What are you, flying without a shield or something, OP? I just did 30k round trip in a paper-thin Asp Scout and lost no hull and only 1% in each of my modules. No AFMU equipped.

Considering that he's managed to get his thrusters and life support down to less than two thirds and he's only a quarter of the way through his planned trip, I wouldn't bank on it.

I have to ask, is OP aware that zeroing throttle when jumping into a new system is a very good idea?

How did your modules get so damaged in the first place?

Yeah, see this guy is asking the right questions.

What did you do? I did the 5k in my regular multi-mission Asp with no AFMU and a 37LY jump range and came back unscathed.....

I got back from a trip of roughly 105K LY last week. Only damage was hull at 99% and power plant at 97% both from faceplanting a black hole, as you do when you drop your lighter and bend down to pick it up mid-jump.

Understatement!

I have no shields on my conda and went to Colonia with no AFMU, and that includes Neutron boosts.

Modules are typically down in the mid 80's after 20,000 to 25,000 ly.

It can't have included that many neutron boosts, 20 of them would put your FSD down into the potential malfunctioning zone. Why would anyone in their right mind jump the remaining minimum 10,000LY (assuming that you hit the neutrons at about 5K LY out from the bubble) in a ship with a frakked-up FSD just for the sake of not finding space in an Anaconda for an AMFU?

Also I have no idea what modules you 'typically' see down to mid 80s after 20,000 - 25,000 ly, neutron boosting only affects your FSD and unless you're regularly faceplanting stars there's nothing else to damage you significantly. That's assuming you managed to squeeze a heatsink in for those close binaries obviously :D

So what's it gonna be??????

CMDR you will die a painful and silent death. You were not prepared..... and apparently like to crash into stuff a lot. How did you manage to jack your ship up so bad in only 2600lys? I'm about 30,000lys from the bubble and the worst of my modules is 92%.

think I might just either turn around or self destruct. What's a 260,000 debuty on a dolphin..
Bust out my 38ly asp. I just dont wanna give up my data. couple first water worlds and just a lot of lil .
