I hope this is fixed in the next patch release. I've been avoiding my usual play because of this.
I saw one drop down within a few meters of my Python nose.
That certainly woke me up. Lol
While I also hope they fix it, I haven't needed to change my play because of it. Actually, I've landed on tens if not hundreds of planetary bases over the last couple of days. I always end my glide just outside the base (though this isn't to do with the skimmers, I've always done so) and haven't encountered the issue at all (I'm mentioning it because I think I saw a post somewhere where FD advise to do this while the bug exists). Haven't even seen a falling skimmer yet (not that I've been looking).

It's all part of the anti-Thargoid defences. If the Flower ships try to attack a base they won't know what hit them![]()
