Hyped? No.

Looking forward to, yes.

2.4 will be the same as all the other releases, better for some than others, with sometimes lots in for me (I loved 2.0) and, other times, 'less' (2.3).

But no matter what, there's usually something, big or small, in there for most CMDRs.

Nope, I never believe the hype. Looking forward to what 2.4 has to offer but till then my enthusiasm is very curbed.

Nope, if they manage to screw up this time I don't see much future for the game or how they're going to hold on to players for 3.0 and beyond.

Hell no. Interest is piqued about the under the hood stuff, but never again will I be hyped for ED releases after the god-awful add-ons that are PP, MC and RNG. :)

As a fan of this game since 1984, i am of course looking forward to the new things that will be introduced.
The announcement, that we won´t see Thargoid related things in the coming Beta means, that there is a lot more to see, of which we know absolutely nothing.
That i find pretty exciting and i am eager to test the new additions. Am i out of control or filled with über-expectations because of that? No, as usual.

So yes, i am hyped for 2.4 Beta.

Be seeing you there to discover all the cool new things to play with.

I'm interested to read the patch notes for sure and that will decide whether I download the beta. I'm expecting fixes rather than anything new in the main, other than what is announced.

I'm more interested in the next season or however they intend to deliver it and the expo. I know they have been describing it as a QoL update, but that is going to be a hard sell IMO ("here, we've updated exploring, that'll be £20 please") so I'm guessing/hoping there's going to be some major feature announcement(s).

I'm always hyped for more improvements to the game. But I'd love to see some of those big ones that were said to come in Horizons "if they manage to finish them", like comets, system orrery map, gameplay for megaships, etc. Although, I have a feeling most of this stuff has been pushed into the Core improvements updates after 2.4.

So I'm a lot more hyped for the Frontier Expo, where hopefully they'll tell us on what they'll focus in 2018.

I learned to keep my expectations so low they're basically non-existent at this point. And, somehow, fd still manage to disappoint.

Let's just say the patch notes next week will be the deciding factor on whether or not I see another season at all. If certain aspects are missing, then I'm afraid it's the end of the road fer me. Its very simple ye see...they said its in the hands of QA, so if it's not in 2.4 at all, then whatever small sliver of trust there is gets flushed down the toilet ^
