Hi Eventure,

Yet another excellent update. I'm running on 4k and some of the text is getting lost in the boxes on the main docked display and the auto destination box. It's like it's not resized properly.

The Galaxy Map is to do with the security state - when trying to register a market, the Security is showing up as $Galaxy_map_info_state_lawless

ISSUE 1

When sorting STAR CLASS this error shows when the sort option is NEUTRON STAR. NOTE this only happens when I have Star Name in Star System list for searching reasons. If no Star Name is in the box then the error doesn't show.

POSSIBLE ISSUES:

I'm not sure if this is a problem or not. In the Personal Panel for Missions there is nothing shown for TARGETS. Are targets for NPC's you have taken mission for to kill? If so then it's not a problem as I ain't done any of those missions, if not then there's an issue.


Also DETAILS TAB in this panel isn't clickable so can't see what's supposed to be there? So not sure if that is an issue either.

Yes, it depends a little onto the font itself, you have selected. Some fonts prefer integer values, others prefer decimal values. So adjusting the font size is the proper way to fix cutoff's.

The details of a mission is shown, if you click onto an active mission or a mission from the history list. It isn't clickable itself by design.

No, TCE can't evaluate any engineered drive, nor the journal producing any info about it. So you have to change it to the proper value manually by editing the unladen and laden values.
Click onto a value to edit it and hit thereafter the ENTER key.
The current value depends on your loaded cargo. This value is calculated automatically.

Thanks for the info, i tried clicking on them initially but nothing happened, been back and i see when you click on the values in the right place they can be edited as you stated, thanks again.

Windows 10 Defender blocks installation of TCE2

Good morning.

Somewhat new to E:D, and am looking at tools to make my trading time a little less pen&paper.

TCE2 looks like a pretty interesting tool, however Windows Defender is blocking its installation. Is this a known problem? Does this program install something out-of-the-norm for other applications?

Besides it interacting with the E:D client, are there any other security concerns of which I should be aware?

Have found another bug, a critical one, with the removal of expired missions. Please all users, who have downloaded and installed the update before this post, reload the update and install it again.

Hello Halliday,

welcome to TCE. I am the developer and what I can say is, that issues with the Windows Defender isn't a known problem.
Few reported an issue with some AV's, like norton, etc., so they had to make an exclusion to use TCE.
Beside of that, no security issues were reported by users.

What version number of EDMC is shown at the launcher? Maybe a picture of the Extensions screen would help.

I've changed the paths to the new install dir of E:\TCE\ for Elite OCR and Relay.

So, the version number is shown, so it should start without a problem.
The error stated, that the version number string of EDMC is nothing, but is shown at the extensions tab. Will add a catch for the error, but I am not sure, why the issue happens currently on your side.

Working on it, I think I have the answer, just doing a new clean install, I'll update here shortly.

I don't think it's related but when doing a transfer, TCE is taking the location of of EliteOCR and Relay as the location of the transfer source, and not the location of the new install location. Therefore I have to change this myself. I still get an error message on first run.:

What is 'F:' as the install is 'E:'?

Some more info, On first run there is no information for the 5 items relating to ship detail 'No Data'
I have to use task manager to shutdown the app.

On second run, there is still no name, but the 5 items decribing the ship is now present, and I have no error and it completes the launch.
On third run, still no name, same details present, and launch completes.

Somthing to note: if your using eliteOCR, and it's held within the source of the transfer, why not transfer that too to the new TCE installation, I do that anyway when I've installed before I run the new install.
Just a thought. E:\TCE v1.5.8.2\eliteOCR\ to E:\TCE\eliteOCR\ you know where the source is as you select that root directory.
