You definitely need more cmdrs to try to guide the srv.
One trick to stop the srv after getting into orbital cruise is to log out and in.

Come along on Tuesday and help out.You definitely need more cmdrs to try to guide the srv.

Care to explain exactly what you're going to do? Are you going to try and carry an SRV to the station?
Exactly what I thought :¬)Hmm, might be fun driving around a station in an SRV.
Are their stations really big, really close or just unrealistically rendered?Ummm hate to burst your bubble but the game you're looking for is the unreleased Scam Citizen where the stations are supposed to be visible from the planetary surface.
Nah, I reckon it's doable - you can definitely fly from one station to another within the same system under normal propulsion (I've seen it done in the Pareco system). You might want to test planet surface to station in a ship tho before you try it in the SRV tho.In E: D, stations are most probably instanced and you drop into them using low wake, getting to them using normal propulsion may not be possible. And will probably end with same disappointment as trying to fly between two systems 2Ly apart which has been attempted sometime ago. But good luck anyway, there's nothing better to do in E: D. Always fascinated by how users find workarounds to software limitations![]()

Defintely doable in a ship, completely seamless.
Touchdown in the station. Travelling from planet orbit to the station is definitely doable. Now I only need a line and hook for the srv.
Nice one. I'm just approaching the station now in an SLF.
Surface to station in under 2hrs. Without any navigation aids.
I figured it would be more of a realistic simulation if I use an SLF and the first thing to note is there's no way to target the station.
What I can't figure out is: Are you assisting with this project tomorrow night, or are you attempting to beat me to it?

Will be happy to assist with the srv already in orbit if attempts for getting one into orbit fails or time runs out. With respect to the ships 'transporting' a srv to the station: make sure they're maxed wrt normal cruise speed. Slowest ship will decide how fast the station can be reached.
Vertical liftoff with FA Off did not work using my Federal Corvette. Had to reach orbit with 5-8% incline and 30m/s. Took a while. The srv took off at about 45km above surface and kept going on it's own.
Good luck and godspeed.
