No more hollow squares?

I've got no problems for bigger and wider bounties for murdering players and not NPC's. Player killing always has larger consequences than killing NPC's so that should be reflected in how it is dealt with.

No one cares if you kill 100 NPC's but the impact of killing 100 players is much greater.

In game human pilots are members of the pilots federation, while NPC's are not fully. So you would expect "team killing" to carry higher punishments.

The only PvP it will affect is non consensual player murder. Turning crimes off or duelling in anarchy wont trigger it.

The net effect will be to make anarchy more dangerous and pirates more careful about shooting out modules.

Good change imo, doesn't quite go far enough but it's a start.

Hi there,

If a mission is already complete except for the hand-in, it won't be listening for kills/scan/property damage anymore and so won't stop other missions from receiving it.

Assassination missions also won't stop a massacre mission from counting a kill if it happens to be of the same type.

Thanks,
Dom

Hi Dom, will there be any better notification systems for follow-on missions?

i like the fact that now theyve added something from explorers. YOU CAN PLOT A 20K LY JUMP :D Lack of way points is a some what downer :(

If this is not a glitch that's a bad move...

Not so sure actually. I mean it's probably a glitch but if it isn't, I wouldn't mind, myself.
Just another reason to double check your contact scan before opening fire given the extra bounties payable, and so on..

Synthesise heat sinks and chaff?! Aww c'mon lol....

You do need to 'gather materials' though, not everyone's fav cup o tea with engineers and .. would you prefer to keep the mats, for an engineer (tbc) .. ??

• Ship Rebuy Penalty – When a player commits the crime of murder (PvP only), an additional cost is added if they swap to a less expensive ship before paying legal costs during the rebuy flow
• Pilot’s Federation Bounty – When a player commits the crime of murder (PvP only), they receive an additional Pilot's Federation Bounty. This bounty is valid in every jurisdiction except anarchies

Szenario: Faction a and faction B are at war in a system under control of A. Player 1 is allied with faction A, player 2 with faction B. Player 2 enters the system and player 1 decides to intercept & manages to down player 2.
As it is now player 1 will receive a bounty and 'wanted'-status from the faction he's actually allied with. That's very bad gamedesign already, however, with this new mechanism in place will player 1 now receive a rebuy-malus and a pilot's federation bounty IN ADDITION because they comitted the crime of defending their faction against a known enemy?
Or is there an 'exception'-mechanism in place to prevent the new C&P system from making 'faction-in-game-PvP' (as opposed to 'arranged, out-of-game PvP' for contests, ladders etc.) even less attractive than it currently is?
Should be relevant to powerplay as well.

When was the save point for this beta? Either it's more than 3 weeks old, or my ship has been moved (and not to the last station I was parked at I don't think).

Also - have the UP and UA been renamed - I have "Thargoid Probe" and "Thargoid Sensor" in my inventory.

In fact I suspect my ship has been moved on purpose since I was around the Merope area all the time since I had a UP in my hold and I'm now in Arque.

Very astute observation. Would appreciate a response from FDev on this as it seems so obvious that it can't possibly have been overlooked however this is FDev we're talking about...

Nearly every contact in that pic was a real CMDR all seeing the same thing, my guess is it's intentional. Reckon it'll generate some salt around here for sure. :)

Hopefully they've hidden the bandwidth monitor too....
I think its fair that players can blend in with the crowd, or at least make it an optional toggle. Its not hard to spot players especially in super cruise anyway.
I've been asking for this change i think since Beta!
