Departure on October 22, gathering begining at 7 p.m. IGT (ingame time) in T TAURI system, Hind Mine station.

This expedition proposes a circuit of 21 asteroid bases located on the periphery of the bubble, using only Saud Kruger luxury ships (Beluga Liner, Orca, Dolphin).

The main route is 44 000 Ly long and allows to visit 17 Nebulaes and 2 Planetary Nebulaes.

The full itinerary (offering free optional waypoints), for a trip of 68,000 Ly, allows to visit up to 36 Nebulaes, 15 Planetary Nebulaes and one mega-ship.

This unique expedition will allow to see a lot of absolutely awesome nebula (Most were hand-crafted by Frontier and not procedurally generated), never moving more than 7,500 Ly (9,000 Ly for optional waypoints) from Sol. In addition, the asteroid bases at each waypoint allow a safe trip despite its length.

Characteristics of the expedition:

 • Bilingual: French and English
 • Departure on October 22, 3303 (2017)
 • Return on December 17, 3303 (2017)
 • Only Saud Kruger ships are authorized: Beluga Liner, Orca and Dolphin
 • All the main waypoints are asteroid bases, offering fuel, repair and restock
 • Some asteroid bases offer also Outfitting and / or Shipyard (see map of the route)
 • Meetings will be planned between 6pm and 10pm (ingame time, more details for each WP TBA)

The expedition, organized by the Deep Space Network, will be exclusively managed on the DSN server: https://discord.gg/feaaaZT

For security reasons (considering the proximity of the bubble) and ease of management, the expedition will take place in the DSN private group (access on request, in the DSN discord).

Description of events on the main WPs

The following types of events are planned for the different main WPs of the DSN Luxury Tour expedition:

Mass Jump

These events are coordinated FSD jumps. After grouping the maximum number of commanders in an instance (or several if necessary), a synchronized jump is triggered and recorded by the streamers. This is a ED expedition classic.

The system and exact location of each mass jump (always very close to the WP) will be communicated on the Discord of the expedition a few hours before.
These places may be the asteroid station itself, a beautiful point of view in space, or a beautiful point of view on the surface of a planet.
If players without Horizons participate in the expedition, planetary mass jump will be avoided.

Commanders arriving ahead of each WP are encouraged to seek such interesting points of view.

Mass Jumps are planned for the WP 0, 4, 6, 9, 11, 14, 17.

Campfire

The commanders of the expedition gather at fixed planetary coordinates, communicated on the Discord of the expedition a few hours before.
These coordinates will be chosen for their particularly beautiful, or atypical, points of view.

Commanders arriving ahead of each WP are encouraged to seek out such interesting points of view.

Campfire are planned for the WP 1, 7, 12 et 16.

SRV Event

An activity involving VRS is organized between the volunteer commanders. The modalities of each activity will be communicated on the Discord of the expedition a few hours before.
As all WP asteroids bases have Restock services, loss of SRV should not be a problem.

A non-exhaustive list of activities that can be proposed is:
- Race in SRV
- SRV hiking (climbing a mountain for example)
- Crossing ravines
- SRV box match (sur un promontoire étroit en général)
- Hunting at SRV: one or more SRVs are hunted by others at high speed

Commanders arriving ahead of each WP are encouraged to search for suitable spots (ravines, mountains, narrow promontories).

SRV Events are planned for the WP 2, 8, 10, 13 et 19.

Fighter Event

An activity involving Fighters is organized between the volunteer commanders. The modalities of each activity will be communicated on the Discord of the expedition a few hours before.
All Fighter Events are organized on WP with an Asteroid base offering an Outfitting service. This eventually allows you to buy the fighter bay in the bubble without taking it in your ship during the long journeys, and to have it transferred for the event. Consider a good delay for the transfer.

The WP 18 also features a Shipyard service, allowing pilots using a Dolphin or Orca, to transfer a vessel that can carry fighters (eg, Keelback) to the event specifically, and after the event, return to the ship of the expedition.

A non-exhaustive list of activities that can be proposed is:
- Race in fighters in a ravine
- Race in fighters in an asteroid field

Commanders arriving ahead of each WP are encouraged to search for appropriate spotlights (ravines, asteroid fields).

Fighter Events are planned for the WP 3, 5 et 18.

Mutli-crew would allow commanders without fighter to participate.

Imperial Eagle Race

For the commander who wishes, a special event is proposed at the end of the expedition, at WP 15.
This is an Imperial Eagle race (bought and fitted before expedition), which can be transfered on-site through the Shipyard service at WP 15.
The fit will be fixed for all participants, and will not include any engineer modifications (all pilots have the same vessel).

Required Fit (racer fit from Coriolis): https://eddp.co/u/YiKmDYTg

N.B.: This fit costs 5.3 MCr (without any discount). The ship transfert to Seagull Asteroid base will cost around 1.3 MCr.

It's very simple, you have only 3 choices :

- Orca
- Beluga Liner
- Dolphin

:D

With sub-choices for each... should I take a Beluga with 4A fuel scoop + shield + fighter bay or a 6A fuel scoop + fighter bay without shield + ... and so on for the 2 others :)

I've started collecting some mats and engineering some stuff for this expedition but as I am a well organized pilot I'm already bored by the number of useless round trips between Shinrarta, Deciat and Maia because I forgot this and that... (including the trips between the engineer base and the local shipyard to actually transfer the right ship to engineer) [blah]

Hi guys,

Firstly, I'll not be joining you so no worries about organisation. I just can't commit to the time period.

However, being most interested in the tour, I plan to do it anyway starting today. Interestingly, I found a couple of systems on your tour are missing from EDSM/EDDiscovery - which I noticed as I was building a route. In any case, as I visit, I'll try to get that updated and if I'm done by the time you guys start, I'll make the EDD route public for anyone who uses that tool for plotting.

Fly safe out there commanders.
