Ok, scanned through the video from yesterday and can't find the planetary entry/exit. Can someone give me a timestamp for that happening?

I watched it as it streamed - it never happens. They go up very high, and back down again (or eject), but there is no planetary entry/exit per se. Will have the stream running in the background today and will see if they show anything different.

The majority (57%) are between 25 and 35

I bet those over 60 are getting a tad nervous.

The majority (25%) believe that SQ42 will release in just over 1 years time
The majority (36%) believe that SC will release in just over 2 years time

Not quite the right use of the word majority there. More accurate to say either a majority (52%) believe it will be before the end of 2018 or a majority (56%) believe it will not be before Q3 2018. Amazingly enough, 2% still hold out hope for it to be released this year.

Interesting to note that quite a large % of people backed the game before CIG dramatically increased the scope. Wonder how many of those are happy with that.

Scary to see how many people have invested so much money. Over 50% have over $500 invested. Only about 14% are in the category of what i would call sane ($60) for a game - assuming people are only interested in either SC or SQ42 individually. If we allow double for people who might want both, that's at best 26%. Everyone else has spent well more than what might be considered a reasonable amount prior to getting the game.

77% interested in VR... ooops. 22% have VR headsets.... ooops.

Well, that's interesting since some comments indicated otherwise.

So we can put an end to this being an "example of what the game is intended to be", or a "presentation of the vision", because this actually is a 3.0 build isolated to a single location with a spherical Cry map inside a cube boundary.

So let that sink in.
I would suggest its a vertical slice...of a pancake.

There's some footage linked a few pages back which shows a ship seemingly hitting the boundary where it no longer continues to climb.

Hello fellow Citizens,
This morning I came across a feedback from a french backer on the Star Citizen Forum on the french website www.jeuxvideo.com.
As it is quite interesting, I decided to share the post and make a FR->EN translation for you guys.
Link to the original post (French):http://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/42-29704-52810484-1-0-1-0-avis-sur-la-demo-de-daymar.htm

Translation: I got the occasion (and patience...queueing for 2h for a 20 min playthrough) to test the "3.0 Daymar Experience" at the CIG Booth at Gamescom. Here is a little feedback.
First reaction...God this is beautiful to the eye! I was wondering what had changed to make it so good looking. Light management is on point, shadows are deep and beautiful...and the fluidity! Little to no aliasing on the edges. I was pleased to see how well the game evolved, I got the feeling to discover it over again.
Speaking of which, the second most noticeable point is the Item 2.0. Thankfully, one guy at the booth helped me around the changes, I was really lost here! This is a whole new way of interacting with the world: you have to press the 'F' key and keep it pressed in order to bring up the cursor that lets you select a specific action (open/close a door, sit down, power up the engines,...). In most cases, this is really practical, for example when you want to close a door and not actually getting out of the ship. But sometimes it gets quite confusing, especially when you want to rush to your seat as we used to do before. To do so, you have to get close to the seat (but not too much), press F, select and click on "Enter pilot seat". Once seated, you have to do it over again to bring the "Power On" option. There's a learning curve here.
It's time to talk about atmospheric flight. Unfortunately, I didn't test the space flight, but I could fly in Daymar's atmosphere. I confirm that you can actually feel the weight of your ship, this is a plain new sensation, your ship is heavy! There's a lot of inertia and I sometimes struggled to keep my ship straight! I won't talk about landing...because I crashed.
I gave the new Cutlass a ride, along the Nox and Ursa Rover. The Cutlass is a thing of beauty! I tested it a little, and the turret as well (they polished the turret gameplay, which is far more on point now! You can get a solid aim easily now, no more wobbly and sickening movements!). I could not test the copilot gameplay as the feature was not implemented in this "Lite" build.
The Nox is a beast! Classy also! The speed feedback is quite good as of today. As you can imagine, the Nox is really agile, even on Daymar's scorched suface.
And finally, the Ursa. I used it shortly, just to go recover my wandering Nox.
During those 20 min, I had a strong feeling the game evolved a lot, that's what I retain from this playthrough. I wonder if we'll be able to get as much fluidity as I got during this lite demo.

Survey: Does anybody know where and how the data was acquired?

Nehkara is the guy who did the misleading tldr transcripts for INN. It was blatant stuff. When they got caught out (very publically) they changed the tagline on the transcript pages from "we are second only to CIG devs in SC information" to "information may not be entirely accurate" or whatever it is now.

I've a screenshot of it somewhere and copies of their transcripts compared to what was really said. It's all online anyway.

INN had a relationship with a PR company and I was told last year that they were paid out of a "hospitality fund" set up by CIG.

I was even contacted by the guy who looks after the github where all these dodgy transcripts are searchable in a database - this is the primary source for the dreams and theorycrafting and firefighting on forums. If you can dream it, it's in there.

It goes:
1. Chris Roberts/random dev says x is possible

2. INN say x is coming

3. Community throw money for x

Anyone who knows about data knows if your sample is not randomly sourced then it is biased and basically chuck it in the bin.

I would have very serious doubts about any data coming from Nehkara/INN for the reasons given above and the ridiculous amount of time I spent looking into what in holy hell INN was up to.

This all went down in around March 2016 or thereabouts.

I see. In this case survey is worthless, as is any data that does not make transparent how it was produced, or is highly selective/biased in choosing participants.

Another very important point raised by the survey is when backers had to describe what do they think CIG is excelling at?

That is the real truth IMO, the answers that involve marketing, hype and ship selling, not to mention brutal answer like lying, or deceit being uttered there should truly project how the state of the project is.... Those kind of sad answer are far more prevalent than it normally should be, especially for a crowd funded game project. And even more so when you realize possibly no one answered that they think CIG is excelling at anything resembles the ability to deliver the game or just even a playable and enjoyable alpha.

Yeah, and the person responsible for gathering the data was caught manipulating basic transcripts of spoken words.
