(I'm a long time player of the X series, having played X Beyond the frontier when it was released and played all the sequels except AP and Rebirth)
Positives for me that I noticed in the English presentation :
* Ships are crewed! In X2 I piloted a few large ships and there was no crew, just empty seats.
* Custom player logos! A feature of Beyond the frontier and Xtension that wasn't in the games after that.
* Seamless transition from ship to station to ship again ... but there's still no planetary landing. Egosoft have always stated that it's not possible, and they do know what they are talking about, but I like that they don't have planetary landing on purpose because it allows them to focus on making the game a much better experience for it.
* It looks like they learned from what went wrong with Rebirth, and not just how bad the game was, but also their perception of believing they understood what the players wanted. Egosoft have always listened to their playerbase, probably more than Frontier and CiG/Chris Roberts, yet with Rebirth they thought they got it right and developed a game up to release without showing us anything until it was too late in development to change anything. This time they seem to be showing us content much earlier and that gives them time to make changes based on our responses.
IF (big IF) Egosoft continue to develop the game as they presented (sounds like a stupid thing to say, I know, but the game could change between now and release), then I'm in, buying it pre-order ASAP (I wasn't burned by Rebirth as I only bought it just before they announced the VR version) and I'm throwing my money at the monitor now ...
BUT ...
If it develops too far to a game I don't think I'll like, then I will be holding back.
I want this to be their best game ever, heck THE best space sim game ever ... I just hope they deliver.
