What would it take to get a station named after former Canadian PM Stephen Harper?

According to Inara, Hawking Landing is in Lokaantii . There are 2 Pratchett Orbitals ,one at Duwali and another in Rabal. 4 Adams Stations, Wunii, wolf 335, HIP 67882 and LFT 367. There is no Armstrong Base, but plenty of other Armstrong named stations. There also isn't a Nova Tereshkovagrad, but a good number of Tereshkova named stations. Just to make it clear there are many other stations named after Adams, Hawking and Pratchett.

there is also a Leonard Nimoy station and Gergoe Lucas station [big grin]

As a Canuck this made me laugh. Got me to thinking we need a Cretien Orbital where you can't understand the flight controller. ;)

When hell freezes over.

Great at destroying Canada's reputation throughout the world you mean.
Fantastic at selling out Alberta to the oil companies who immediately leave when tar sands aren't profitable anymore with oil at 50 bucks.
The most secretive, micromanipulating PM of all time IMO.

Whooosh! Didn't even muss your hair. Well done!

Does he have anything to do with space, science, sci fi or engineering? Does anyone outside of Canada know who he is? In general it's best to leave politicians out of it. As for the former General Secretary, he does have a Nobel Peace Prize

At least the Kims had/have an interest in rocketry :D
The unevolved pond scum that was Stephen Harper did not believe in science. He actually had a science minister who did not believe in evolution or science. He was very good at firing scientists or threatening them with dismissal if they dared to discuss those annoying things called facts. His crimes were many and the country is still recovering from his near-dictatorial rule.

so did a certain Saddam...

M. Gorbachev has been named such since 1993 when it first appeared in Frontier: Elite 2. Recall, that Elite's diverges from ours where nuclear fusion was discovered in 1990's and third world war fought in 2040's, with potentially still existing Soviet Union as one of the belligerents.

Is it right to have a station named like that? Is it wrong? Will retconning or renaming it make it any better? Petition a name change if you think its worth it.

Pratchett's Disc used to be the most famous for it's "robigo like qualities"
