Regarding Engineer Mods - Ship Repair

How's about this ?

When repairing any ship which has engineered mods aboard at a station in a high security system you are fined for the possession of the mods. Each mod grade having a differing level of fine attached.
Also medium security systems would give you a 50/50 chance of being fined when repairing.
Low security, no fine.

Just an idea.
 
I'm not sure. Most fines are "meh" these days, so I'm not sure I'd personally care if I got a fine. I got a fine for poor flying the other day. 100cr for a week. Meh, I'm not going back there anyway. Lol

It would be interesting if some powerful mods (particularly any considered overpowered) were actually illegal to have equipped.
Being scanned with them results in an instant bounty and rep loss.

Would be an interesting way to balance these OP mods. :D

What if non payment of these fine types have the crazy modded ai bounty you for it. You know, the ai that was insanely fun, hunting you down for not paying the fine.
I would like this.
It would give those that enjoyed that ai type the chance to continue to encounter them and those who dont pay their fines and avoid it.
Frontier said that the Thargoids will act different from the bubble ai so they know how to seperate ai types in to there difficulty groups. I should re title this thread. Option to bring back the mad ai npcs.

Just have all mods considered illegal.
