The gameplay of this game is really very good and unique. It would be fantastic if this game was graphically improved.

There's nothing to improve on drop dead gorgeous 2D art. Ooh, not a huge pricetag either, I might grab this.

Alright chaps! I'm one of the developers of the game (from birdinsky). We started working on it 10 years ago and were big fans of Frontier: First Encounters. We loved it so much that we wanted to replicate some of the aspects and elaborate on them... 3030 was born. We wanted to be able to walk on station, so we made it happen! We also have a cheeky sense of humour and love films and games, so put loads of references in.

I loved Elite so much that a few years ago I got a job at Frontier and worked on Elite: Dangerous. I met Braben a few times and he seems like a nice chap. I'm not working there anymore, but it was a dream of mine to work on the new elite game when (!!) it finally decided to come out.

So if you notice a lot of similarities or the feel of any of the elite games, it's because we loved it so much.

Glad you're all enjoying it. If you're interested in trying new betas, have some ideas or just want to tell us about your experiences, then please join our discord, https://discord.gg/Uvqw8yc

Im a massive skeptic and never take anything for face value. So im a little..... 'rigggghhhhtttttt'''' when i read this.

But for the sake of it... just in case.

Have really enjoyed the game. Its success on steam is well deserved.

Kinda wish the story elements where more points and click (lucus arts adventure) rather than just the left/right station interactions. but hey. Maybe you guys are thinking about a sequel with an expansion of scope?

Anyways had a blast. *tips hat*

Heh, I get the skepticism, no worries. Re: the adventure game elements, we're massive adventure game fans and wanted to do more with it, but we were (at the time) a two man team. We're three now. Maybe if we can, we'd like to expand that side a lot more. Who knows. Let's see where it goes.

And thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

Check you later

Having a really good time with this game. It's got all the depth that is missing from Elite Dangerous, if you like space trucking, racing with pirates, bounty hunting, or just exploring around, all that with a progressive story unfolding as you play, it's a must have. IMHO it's the kind of solo gameplay that ED should have offered...
I like that the police are using Vipers :) and that 1st cargo ship you can get looks a lot like an Asp :)) wink wink well done guys.
I have yet to uncork a lot of mysteries (Kent seems to mention there's ...something... inside nebulas ?)

Got that one a few days ago, and the similarities with Elite are striking, indeed. Deathwar is honestly more fun to me, overall. The humour, the writing, the content is definitely what I would have loved seeing in ED. It reminds me of what I absolutely loved in the Starglider series, especially SG2. In both games the writing is clever, neat and tongue in cheek, yet it manages to immerse the player in the universe and make it believable and attaching. ED lacks that, I think. Appart from a few lines here and there, it's rather dry, and not very interesting lore wise. Maybe the will to make it somewhat realistic is a drawback.

Anyway, I'd love to see more of that!

Thanks for all the lovely comments, everyone... Incidentally, the game's 20% off right now.. cheeky wink, cheeky wink.

Perhaps it's just me but there is not much, well, combat in the game. So far ive been puttering around upgrading the ships but i cant say i feel very threatened by any npc's.

Try shooting up a Moneyball event. I can guarantee you things will get really intense.

Picked up this game recently. It's pretty good fun with amusing humour. Took about 20hrs to complete the story, although the ending was a bit 'Huh, that was easy.'
I'm having another play though now to see what I missed first time round. Been trying to milk the Largo of gold as much as possible by avoiding going back to the station where Kent is waiting with news about it, but a save and reload has made it disappear now.
