13000 + systems exploration data lost

I recently visited the peladies which I hadn't been to since pre 2.3 and noticed all the systems I visited were unexplored....

i started looking at all my other systems which I bookmarked and they're all unexplored, I can't even see the maps

further investigation has highlighted that everything... and I mean everything I have visited pre 2.3 has been lost

I have opened a ticket but I just don't know what to say

i never wrote down the 13000 systems so I have no idea where they exactly all are so my ticket is a bit vague and pointless apart from where the hell are my systems?

check your pre 2.3 data folks, if I have indeed lost it i really don't think I can continue in elite, 13,000+ systems lost countless firsts, nebulas, unique planets the lot

its like I've never left the bubble despite 2 years + in the black

and this is all data sold pre 2.3 not lost through other means etc just to be clear. Xbox here too like it makes any difference but heh... turned elite off tonight cba with it

When I had my CMDR name change I had a look and I thought they were still there under my old name.

Perhaps if you can post a few systems everyone can check them out just to make sure its not an xbox problem.

even Maia was unexplored, the only ones I have bookmarked (as we have a limit) are quite unique systems so I don't want to give out their names just incase but they're the only one I 100% know I visited even if I switch the may to visited it thinks I haven't left the bubble

if you could all check Maia and the system in the photo below I would appreciate it, i had obviously been to both before but now they're undiscovered - most explorers would have been to these pre 2.3 so if you can look on your maps to see how they display and if there like the picture

Just to add as well I can scan these systems again and sell the data again!

Also Everywhere I have been post 2.3 is showing correctly I can follow my line where I went post 2.3 - it just appears to be pre 2.3 lol at just.... I have to laugh I guess

I hope they get it fixed for you! I've just checked a system I scanned last year and the system map is showing all the bodies and first discovery tags ok.

Maia is showing for me as scanned and tagged when I look at the system map.

That other system, I can't access the system map, so I probably haven't visited it.

That sucks - I do hope you get that sorted out!

Just checked a few systems from early/mid 2015, and they seem fine, i.e. are available via GalMap and have my tags. So it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone.

Holy crap, how, what?
Crazy, hope this gets sorted.
Wish I could check my stuff, but I'vs had a drive or 2 die since the beginning which held my personal db

That sucks big time, I feel for you Kenneth and hope that support can do something.

@EUS you want to sign up to EDSM and get an online back up of your history in case of local disk failure. EDD is good for doing that automatically for you /plug from EDD dev

That's terrible news, are your logs in your computer still there? If yes then you could log them to EDSM and use them as a reference to what systems you have visited as suggested by iain666

No Visited system history unfortunately as Rhea said im on Xbox so im in the hands of the server and ED, I don't even know how long its been like this, I only noticed the other day because of Maia being unexplored...

heres another system I can enter (it should be tagged by my name) but all the planets are missing, stars are ok (except missing my tag)... but name missing in the system map i.e. the system name normally displays ....

That a very odd thing indeed,

My best guess, and note that it's only a guess, is that something in your xbox was removed,
as from what I understand, the servers only stores what you have first discovered, and all visited systems are "on PC" on a local file, I suspect that this might be the same on xBox.

But this is not about the visited systems filter. This is about his personal history, which is stored in the server. The systems he visited, the bodies he scanned, etc. This information is not stored locally.

my local information is still present, and visited stars filtered by map are only for ones visited post 2.2 I think? (im no expert here) but judging on my movements post 2.2 I can trace everywhere where I've been using this method, but for example a trip to SAG a I did 2 years ago is missing and I cant find a few systems along the way I tagged, I book marked one or two of them, SAG a also shows unexplored...

But ^^ if anyone can clarify in the visited star filter uses old data or just new data once it was implemented this will help in my investigation

Yes you're right, time for more coffee ^^

Yes Kenneth, VisitedStar cache is only since implemented and local, it don't use server data.
