PvP Fuel Corgi gets got 65k LY from bubble - SDC Special

Ever flown out where the stars are really thin? And not just out-and-back, but staying there for some time? Fuel management becomes less than trivial.

How does that have to do with willingly flying up to a fully armed combat vessel with hardpoints deployed in the middle of no where?

Anacondas are frequently used as exploration vessels due to their frankly unfair jump range :)

Apologies though, I thought you mean the whole "it's easy not to run out of fuel and those that do deserve to be punished" angle.

Morality doesn't change just because a video game isn't real, but then maybe that's the difference between immersion players and meta players.

I've got to disagree with this. Morality is entirely dependent upon context. Murdering someone in a computer game is worlds apart from murdering someone in real life. There's nothing immoral about murdering someone in a computer game, as it is make believe. The fact that you resurrect straight away rather changes the significance of death.

So clear your save now. It's just make believe anyway.

I don't think it's directly relevant to what I was talking about anyway, but regarding fuel management, it has become very trivial since selecting and plotting for scoopable stars became a thing. At least for me, being someone who goes exploring in a fully combat loaded Vulture for months at a time with just the stock fuel tank, which only allows for 3 max range consecutive jumps. I've never had a problem with it.

That being said, accidents can and do still happen occasionally, presumably.

Like the dog. Think it would have been funnier if the dog was yachting.

I wont feed the negative vibes in this thread because its just encouragement.

I hope that's not true. I've played as German in Battlefield a bunch of times. I even played as American in Battlefield Vietnam.

I'm not getting your point. How did this change morality in any way? Also, keep in mind I said "just because."

You can still RP a bad guy or whatever, but that doesn't necessarily change the morality of a given situation.

This likely has to do with empathy and how invested someone is in an artificial reality on an emotional or visceral level, i.e., why I made the distinction between immersion players and meta players.

Hope is not a strategy.

Flying a cheap fuel rat ship when required to be in open (fuel rat ops only) and sending screenies of a rebuy screen to reddit. Now that is a strategy.

Also, a lot of moral theories and exercises are based on scenarios that are not real. I'll let you come to your own conclusions about what that means for you.

Not all dogs drive yachts though.
