I don't know what all the fuss is about. We get Mysterious and Exciting things happening in every update, most of which Fdev don't even know about themselves until the forums explode.
I just got attacked by two in a non-human signal source, if that helps?
And you lived to tell about it, so what's the big deal with the Thargoids. Apperently you weren't vaporized, were you?
Can't say as to I blame them for shooting first. And because they have better weapons, taking pilots out easily. At almost every encounter where as they come accross humans. With extemly less exceptions, humans have ramed into them, rubbed up against them and even shot at them.
Putting the shoe on the other foot, what would you think of humans. I'd open fire on them also. I mean, one see's a wanted pilot and takes the position of defense and will fire first. Why, if they hadn't done anything to you, would you fire first. The wantedness could be from an unpaid 100 cr fine from accidently firing on a clean ship. Well the Thargoids were clean when originally encountering humans, and humans fired on them, thus in Thargoid terms, humans, due to the actions of a few trigger happy cmdr's have aquired what ever the Thargoind word for wanted is. And are simply out doing some of their own bounty hunting. And clean up this small little part of the galaxy in comparison to the rest of the galaxy we lay claim to.
Though one can but shouldn't get any cudos for being one of those trigger happy cmdr's who started it. After all, its added some more to the game to do. There's gonna be extra grinding to acheive weapon and ammo, and some engineering to make them better, wow, that's fun. But still its more, and everyone wanted more.
As a youth, my grandfather was my mentor. One of the many things he attempted to bestow upon me was. Becareful of what you ask for, you may actually get it. Well, we got it, there here! And when we win, and we will win, because in movies and games, humans always win. The next set of aliens will be even worse.
