This is What I got
164 157 162 150 165 154
164 157 162 040 165 156
163 163 040 164 157 162
240 165 156 040 165 156

I would bet that the last line is actually

040 165 156 040 165 156

There seem to be only a handful of different combinations. I've never seen 240 165 156 so far, but a ton of 040 165 156

That all the numbers so far seem to be 141 to 172 and 40, which is lowercase ASCII a-z and 'space', makes it seem pretty likely that it's supposed to be text.

However, only about 9 distinct characters and space seem to have come up in the screenshots so far. And nothing recognisable is being spelled out yet.

Free floating UA's (Now Thargoid Sensor) are spawning much closer to Merope in non-human threat 5. Am I right in thinking before they only spawned 150-135 Ly away (system I'm in at the moment is just under 44 Ly away).

I've just been hyperdicted, but it wasn't the same as before. I could move a bit before being disabled, just enough to see a Thargoid ship set off some kind of white energy pulse, and that disabled my ship.
But it didn't scan me, it jumped away, leaving me with....two other Thargoid ships! one of them didn't move but the other was acting weird. It stayed at 537m from me, if I moved toward it it would move back, and if I moved back it would go forward...

I ended up bumping it when trying to boost closer (again....), they really dislike that kind of contact ;) Still, a very weird encounter, not sure if buggy or working as intented.

One of my wingmates has been attacked and destroyed by one at a Non-Human source (Threat 5). We think it may be because he got to close when it was around one of the destroyed ships, he did not fire on it at all. I however have not been attacked, although it did fire out the "Tharglets" when I got close.

Same thing happened to me.Got hyperdicted, was able to boost for a second, and then got disabled. After a moment, my ship came back, and one Thargoid was keeping a fixed distance of 525 m from me. The other signal was a wake that I tried to scan, with the usual results.

It launched the Glets no matter what but passively scans the wrecks then leaves, unless you fire on it or get too close then it starts to wreck you. He defo will have got to close to it.

Entered a Non-Human SS [Threat 5]. Was not disabled. Managed to acquire a "Thargoid Cyclops Tissue Sample" by firing a Research limpet. The sample is corrosive. SLF's are very good at distracting the Thargoid. Beam lasers are ineffective.

PS: I think he was holding back...

The space is a nice observation, I did not realise this! It's not just that the triples repeat, there are also a few different constellations of triples of triples, such as 156 000 000 or 164 157 162. I always took them for octals, since they do not contain 8s or 9s.

A couple of updates on other things:

Barnacles now show up in the navigation panel (but only once you've scanned one, I think).

Unknown probes now show up as "Canister (Thargoid Probe)" (known from beta, I think), and the USSs they are found in show up as "Non-Human Signal Source (Threat 2)" (images coming soon).

Barnacles previously did that

Something else to look at - some have been saying the thargoids have different symbols (the synbol like a barnacle). Ones with two rings attack, ones with only a single ring are ore peaceful. Might be nothing...
