[Sarcasm] Well done FDEV

Don't know what your on about, was there in an Asp with only lightweight armor c3 bi weave and some 3e hull packs, survived fine no engineering

Get out there Commander

So...its content only for those who have top end, tricked out, engineered large ships? What about the rest of us? is there anything BELOW threat 5 in which we can actually participate?

Threat 5 is just a scare tactic. My cutter with no hull reinforcements survived an assault with only 6% hull taken away. Shields are no good against them. So uh...try it before you throw a tantrum. Seriously. It's not a "Hull tank 'Vette or bust" type of deal.

There are Threat 7 versions too.

I've posted a few tips from my own scientific findings.... but, so far, so long as you don't get too close and are NOT carrying any thargoid items, they generally leave you alone. Break these conditions and ...well, my 5k shielded cutter's hull went down to 93% before I turned tail lol.

Its not a tantrum, its a question. And a logical one, consdiering ALL of the posts here so far are threat 5 and up.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I was scared too. But the number is probably just factoring in the fact that our weapons are useless and so are our shields. Don't worry, I bet a Sidey can even escape these guys, they arent unforgiving if you anger them. They'll eventually let you run.

Popped into a Threat 5 with my T9. I watched the Thargoid, and the Thargoid said 'hello' back by scanning me.

Then it buggered off.

I saw nothing to suggest that my encounter with the true masters of the bubble would be any different in a Hauler, let alone a T9 or a combat vessel.

So no, no super-duper hardware required.
