Naval Rank Grind in 2.4?

Hey all,

I'm just about finished with my Imperial Navy rank, with being somewhere over 100% Earl. However, the system I've been using to run data courier missions, Wu Guinagi, has been nuked. Absolutely 0 data courier missions.

Does anyone know if there are any other paired systems that efficiently earn Navy rank? I'd rather not do passenger missions again...

Edit: Summary of responses:

1) Wu Giunagi not useful. Possibly due to Civil War state, but zero data courier missions.

2)Sothis/Ceos useful for Fed grind.

3) Aditi in Outbreak. Many donation and "find me X" missions that can be completed in one place. Also "follow up missions" seem to go to an adjacent system.

4) Shu Babassi is currently in Retreat.

5) Cubeo has plenty of data courier missions... going to Colonia.

EDIT: That is only for Federal rank:

Have a look at Sothis (Newholm Station) and Ceos (New Dawn Station). I haven't been there for a while, but it's another system pair that generates courier missions to each other. If you are in Ceos you shouldn't bother taking missions back to Sothis Mining. It's an outpost and a bit too far away, you'll just lose time.

With the nerfs to mission stacking now in 2.4 it might be extremely hard (used 16 hours myself in 24th to do enough to have both imperial and federation rank ever since they did let slip in livestream that the mission stack nerf was coming)

I know this does not help new people or people that do not have the rank yet but we can only hope Frontier see the light and make changes to the mission/Rank/reputation system (Currently for me 96% of missions are not worth my time or effort to beging with i can make more money by either just shooting enemies in belts or by just hauling 700t of cargo between systems)

Already got my 'vette, but thanks.

Out of curiosity, do you know if Sothis/Ceos is still working in 2.4? I've used Wu Giunagi for months before this change.

I knew that the mission stacking nerf was coming, but I thought it was limited to planetary scan and massacre type missions? Those were the types that allowed for insanely quick credit gain. Data courier mission never offered much money and were never, to my knowledge, mentioned explicitly.

IIRC Aditi / Synuefe RT-R c20-7. Given what Cmdr Sovapid said, it might be worth paying a visit to Aditi.

That is my understanding too. However, there are scattered reports that missions are now more dispersed than they used to be, so more difficult to stack.

If you're near Cubeo, there are quite a few Imp data missions to be had, if I recall. Some to stations in the same system.

Haven't had to run those in quite a while, but I'm fairly sure that's where I did the bulk of my ranking up.

I'll put those systems on the investigation list, but I'm wondering if any of the old pairs are still active. Hopefully Wu Giunagi is a one-off? I do see normal data courier missions in other systems.

I've got my Corvette before 2.4 dropped, but a friend is still there ranking up - yes it does still work and apparently with a lot more missions available (if going the data route). If using passenger missions it was a bit sparse last night.

Mission counts are up, so really it's just finding a 'paired' set of factions who are in an A > B > A tryst, aligned to the desired major power, and you are good to go. Technically, this should result in more places being available now, compared to previous. It's still a time investment, just a more constructive time commitment.

Remember though, systems do go through state changes; boom does not last forever. This 100% has not changed.

Yeah, but Wu Giunagi tended to have data courier missions in other states, like the current Civil War. They weren't as prevalent as in Boom, but there were enough.

I'm at 13% Marquis now. That's a better starting point than most players get.

Sothis/Ceos is working and are easier than ever.

In the last hour or so I've managed to get 20 missions each way with only one refresh of the board. The only problem now is that there's some data courier missions to colonia mixed up with the missions to sothis/ceos. So you have to be a bit more careful when picking up the missions.

Those Colonia data missions are everywhere and nowhere are they worth it unless you were already packing. Are FD trying to tell us something?
