Thargoid Challenge Level

In a G5 modded cutter, they do not pose much of a risk. They have no tactic`s, do not manoeuvre in any way and are easy to hit. The speed of the cutter makes jousting with them easy and its easy to avoid their tharglets. I spent 20 mins emptying all my ammo in to them and left with 90%+ hull and very little damage. If they hadn`t the God pass that they have atm and we had the weapons to actually damage them, they would be dropping like flies. I think they are very little to no challenge atm.

Well that's disappointing, and it doesn't even make sense. Frontier portrays these Thargoids taking out all the best ships the Federation has to offer, including capital ships...

If I were the Thargoids, I'd bomb all the Engineer homeworlds to dust (and thank their deity that the Federation fleet doesn't use the Engineers).

I suspect with the Thargoids Frontier will utilise some RPG tricks in the way of resistance buffs to general weapons whilst utilising weapons that have a natural damage buff to player technology.

And then they seed the game with new 'epix lewt' to obtain that have their own buffs that counteract the resistance buffs and give players increased resistances.

AI and behaviour wise, I expect Thargoids to exhibit the combat prowess of a potato that has just woken up on a Monday morning and hasn't had any coffee yet.

Called it.

I hope tardgoid will become a challenge because at the moment, it is just a stupid unvulnerable (0 challenge) AI which can't keep up against FAOff.

Oh, yeah... :D I can say I'm happy. :)

Maybe my imagination was overly active, but I was expecting the Thargoids to be much, much more dangerous (I'm surviving them with little trouble with my smuggler cobra MK3). Of course it may be because I am a very experienced cmdr and know all the tricks to avoid being caught in full fire.

Anyway, my question, oh Mistress of the Minions, is: Are the Thargoids going to become increasingly dangerous over time? I so hope the answer is "yes".

I kind of would like to hear the answer to that question too, didn't die yet, soooooo spank me I've been bad :D
