Hypothesis of barnacle purpose

someone had posted a thought similar to mine, in the last pages. Since last week I have been having this thought, and I figured I might share it,

I was thinking of the possiblity that the barnacles where actually children, young thargoids in a different stage of life from the ones we see flying around space, now that the barnacle sites are growing (some) this actually might have some merit. Trying to think out of the box, I have considered that unlike humans that must feed there young perhaps thargoids need there young to feed them (meta-alloys). During their time on the planet they grow, but they can also feed the adults. Generation time could be very long and this could be the first "births" since the last encounters.

anyway not nuch in facts, but maybe ideas to think about, I hope that a cohesive way to share info comes along like the mega threads.

I think they're production sites using dna-blueprints to manufacture material, parts and maybe even whole machines. Maybe extraction sites on resource rich patches in vacuum worlds. And/or pit stops to refuel and resupply.

So before this thread gets shut down too (by Thargoid agents) I've been to a couple of Barnacle sites tonight and I've noticed a big difference in that the ground beneath barnacles and spikes has begun to glow a strong green :/

resource collector for mining metals from a planetoid, thargoid interceptors use it as a synthesis material gathering station, guess they need material to travel like jump fuel. I dont think its a juvenile anymore i used to think that, now i think its just another thargoid vessel designed purely for extracting resources, the more it extracts the bigger it is able grow, perhaps into a base of sorts.

This was more or less where I had been thinking, I was trying an exercise to keep my mind open to different thoughts, although the change in the barnacle site(s) will be a big key, the one mentioned in the thread before, appeared to be growing to resemble the ones in orbit, and although all barnacle sites have same logo, the space versions have a variety of logos.

Just trying to free the mind of locked thinking really, but all ideas are welcome here, the crazier the better!!

The newly discovered giant barnacle site is growing in a vaguely spiral/flower pattern, I think they may be growing either new ships or the large structures under there.

Just noticed that scanning the big spikey central barnacle results in a scan for a "Settlement Unknown" log entry... maybe it is hive exits after all?

Or they are building a recovery resort for all the people they rescue from the ship wrecks.

I visited the barnicles at Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81. There was scavengers there. I'd visited other sites in 2.3, and there were none. Scavengers at Barnicle sites is a new thing?
