Powerplay Earning Alliance Reputation

Trying to increase Alliance reputation. (Right- I have no idea why - just for the heck of it?)

Anyway doing Alliance missions for Alliance groups (at an Alliance system in an Alliance station) and my rep with them actually went down rather than up? What is the deal?

You can get to Friendly doing missions.
But to become an ally - you have to kill our enemies.
Cashing in Alliance Bounties builds your rep with the Alliance strongest.

I suggest you join an actual Alliance Group - there's plenty of us, and we have some excellent resources, and some of the best strategists in the game.
The team I fly with https://elitediplomats.com have good starter guides. And many of the others are visible from the Mahon Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteMahon

This is not a how to - it's just a bit about the powers, and how the Alliance relates to them. Full versions and guides are password protected.

OK, I have gotten my Alioth System Permit and currently at Irkutsk Station. Not seeing any specific reason for all the hullabaloo. Is there anything worth the effort to have gotten here? Any really cool stations? Deals? Trading? ANYTHING?

Its not widely known, but Alioth has the finest organic muesli in the Galaxy.

Less seriously, the permit lets you get to the engineer Bill Turner in the future. As far as I am aware Alioth does not have a rare.

Irkutsk sells Asps at a 10% discount. For me, the reward of being a friend to the Alliance are just that I'm working with a type of government that seems to value freedom more. I'm not full on with the Alliance, my character is a freelancer, but he sympathizes with the Alliance. My pilot won't hesitate to work with the other powers to get benefits and ships from them, but if the chips were down my Commander would go fight with the Alliance.

The hardcore Alliance Edmund Mahon sympathizers are a tight knit community as well. The Alliance is the weakest of the 3 powers but they've made him the strongest Powerplay faction. So there's that too. A lot of it is just roleplay.

I can't believe you actually believe most of that.

"A type of government that values freedom" ???

"The Alliance is the weakest of the 3 powers but they've made him the strongest Powerplay faction." The ignorance of the other PowerPlay factions has made them the strongest PowerPlay faction and has fostered arrogance amongst the Mahon pledges and supporters.

Nice video DNA-Decay. Thanks! [big grin]
