if she didn't asked just because of your gifts, I highly suspect it must have been a w-e of shopping and at least a car, quite unbalanced, but that's how it works

Got to agree - my missus is just the same. I think she realised what she was getting with the deal when we first met. I had just bought a whitemetal kit for a Samurai that took 3/4 of my weekly wage as an apprentice. After that we seemed to have an understanding. 37 years on and she's still awesome!

Oh definitely, in the games room is the computer and up on the shelves are various lego Star Wars toys including the mahoosive Star Destroyer that the wife bought me. She finds it all rather endearing really

I joke a lot, my wife isn't as bad as I make out. The reason right now is we're both in the first year or two as new business owners, mine an English school in Italy, hers a... I haven't actually figured it out, it's some sort of home for children who're going to court or SOMETHING.
So right now, on paper, we look quite rich, but practically we're on less than what my wage was when I was just a teacher.
So the budget is tight, my donations and whatnot have mainly come in through some private lessons I've done on the side.
When the money is slightly more in abundance, we'll be able to afford a decent left-handed flightstick.

Considering how much $$$ I drop buying parts for my cars, this was a drop in the bucket.
But to smooth things over, I told her I got ED (I really do hate this because 'ED' stands for something else ) so I can practice 'docking' better.
She seems to like it....
