How anti-xeno weapons/defence progression should look like

So before 2.4 they were disabling our ships so we coudnt do anything.
Now in 2.4 when they stopped disabling our ships on sight - all it took was CG of 6236723754 tons of tantalum and we suddenly have anti-xeno rockets developed in 2 days? Really?

How it should be (more less) :
1. Dont give weapons right away, just xeno scanner, let players attack them (but without a chance to success for now)
2. As you attacking them with scanner active - you gain "attack pattern data" data or something similar
3. As you get hit by them with scanner active - you gain "defense pattern data" data or something similar
4. The longer you attack/defend against Thargoid the more data you get
5. From using xeno-scanner - you also gain some universal data
6. Make CG's that required this kind of data - for weapons needs "attack pattern data" or a lot more universal data, for defense needs "defense pattern data" or a lot more universal data
7. Let this CG's be multistage and roll till they finish without time limit - i.e "Laser CG" :
tier 1 opens S pulse laser,
tier 2 opens S burst laser
tier 3 opens S beam laser
tier 4 opens M lasers
tier 5 opens L lasers
tier 6 opens Huge lasers.

The rewards start being available the moment tier is achieved (spreading from point of origin/production) and CG goes on till last tier is achieved (no time limit).
Obviously after being equipped with anti-xeno weapon you still get data so you can participate in CG's to unlock stronger and stronger weapons.
Tier 1 should also take the most time and data to achieve, so we cant start killing aliens on day2, developing technology is hard, making bigger/different versions is easier and should last like week or two.

the thing they did, was developing the actual weapons, while the technology for it has been researched over the last few months now.

its like Iron man telling jarvis to do this and that with the stuff he was already producing for years, and suddenly within a few days he had a combat suite that could fly.
 
I am going to massively disagreee with point 7 and here's why

As I understand it the tier unlocks for the anti thargoid tech relates to availability, not weapon type/size

The info from the CGs and blueprints seemed to show that one class of tech would be produced, but the higher the tier the more locations they're available from. That's why I think the Xeno scanner and AX missles are only at high tech,military and industrial bases. Had they garnered more success then more installations would stock them

Making the weapons locked behind these tiers will seriously players off who have traded tons of commodities and find out they don't get the good stuff because half the community couldn't be bothered
If the weapons are available in full but only in select places, then I think players will be a bit more ok with that
Not many are actively contributing so it's practically impossible to reach high tiers so basing it on your method, we won't get very much in return. I think for this current CG I've traded some 2k tons of tantalum, whilst that may not be much, it's much more than some of the players out there

Proposed tiers would work differently than now.
The point of 7 was that this CG runs untill community unlocks all the tiers. It woudn't just end like now without achieving higher tiers. That would allow in time for community to unlock all tiers.

In comparision to what you get now - small rocket launcher and CG ended. You cant work more on it to get medium or large one. You contibute blindly.
Same now with supposedly MultiCannon - again you dont know what you get, maybe it will be small, maybe it will be huge - I dont know if players are ok with doing next blind CG.
