Closeup of Thargoid sitting in his cockpit?

I accidentally hit boost after being interdicted by two Thargoid ships, but may have caught a glimpse of an alien commander in his cockpit? I'm not entirely sure, but what do you think?

Anywhere between 18 and 20 seconds, although with the limitations of the vanilla PS4 graphics and 720P video capture, it's not exactly detailed. There's more detailed screenshots from a PC (?) in this thread:

FWIW, our wing killed killed several Thargoids today, and I remembered that I always wanted to take a close-up shot of the "eye" in the middle. So after killing one, I flew up as close as I could, turned the ship lights on and took the following pics (rather lo-res, but still, pics are from the Oculus VR control window) of the "cockpit's" inside:

I've been saying this since they announced 2.4.
The ships are the Thargoids, there is no praying mantis inside. It's a biological weapon created by the Guardians that is sentient. It's essentially a Biological terminator.

Maybe the art department is still trying to design Thargoid pilots, so they haven't been implemented yet.

Sure, it's not a clever role-play reason, but if you ask me it's much more likely. You know, like the invisible comets.

I think these ships are sentient entities spawned or grown by actual Thargoids.
Not only the way they look, but the way they actually express themselves by light and sound show.

Dantedante has it, the thargoid is the ship, you have to destroy 4 of its hearts to kill it. There is no pilot inside controlling it.
