But I won't seeing how easy it is to get shot there.

Don't lose sight of the big picture.
You'd have to go back to around 1970 to find as *low* of a violent crime rate as today, in the US.
The drop has been significant over the past couple decades.

Also notice "Fists and feet etc" are used in around twice as many deaths as "all rifles", of which "assault" are a subset, in any recent year.

There are no random killing sprees at this frequency, and magnitude. There are a rare occasions because some people just crazy but that's only happens once in a few years across the whole EU instead to be the part of everyday life like in the USA. The sad truth is USA does not need terrorists to have the same level of insecurity. Actually? Even worse.

America's no different to the UK in terms of freedom, in many ways it's worse. If I get a speeding ticket tomorrow I wont have a pistol waved at me by some yelling nutter while I get out of my car and there's very little gun crime.

Being able to own a huge collection of guns and ammo doesn't make you any more free than me. If you really think you can resist "the system" taking your stuff away you've not taken air power into account. If your government got all antsy to the point you needed to try and fight them off they'd hit you from the air or with long range artillery, your guns would be useless.

It's not about that, and let me use one example, Norway, a country with very little gun crime until one nutter appears and where was the police? I guess many of those young people wished they had a gun at that point.

Because even if you could find a way to remove guns, evil will find another (and simple) way to harm or kill others.

Take away an object that is designed to kill and evil will find another object that can be converted to kill. And it will accomplish that task easily.

Address the evil and you don't have to worry about the object. Taking away the object doesn't remove evil.

Against a sharpshooter?

In such cases like Norway or this? IT's always a sharpshooter VS the panicking crowd, or just a bullet spraying maniac amidst of kids. If you also have a gun and start to shoot blindly toward the suspected direction, amidst a crowd? You only make things worse!
And in both cases, can we give guns to kids / drunk party people, it does kids have, can they have weapons? What's next??? ICBM launch codes to a 3 years old?
