It's not related to EDDiscovery, you should only receive one email per badge. But if you found it to annoying, you can deactivate the emails under your general settings.

Yes, one email per badge; but this has only just started and some of the things I'm getting a badge for happened months ago. Has something changed in EDD to trigger this? Or has something changed in EDSM?

Badges were implemented just very recently, as in the past few days, so I suspect that as EDSM is polling it's existing data, it is marking earned badges and sending out the email. There is a whole lot of data for EDSM to sift through, so some lag is not at all surprising.

Anyone have any idea how i fix, when all the information in the right hand panels in the last row goes off the screen,, wether its full screen or smaller?..the only way i can fix it is to reset window postions with shift key on loading,, but i pretty much have to do that everytime, as after i close down and reopen i lose part of the right panels everytime..

Ah, that makes sense, thanks!

I play ED on two different computers but same account. What is the recommended way to combine the data between the two? I don't believe the tool catches data from exploration on my main computer if I run the tool on my secondary computer which also has ED installed. I have read several posts in this thread and I'm not sure if the same thing applies to the different profiles discussed?

What data are you interested in? If it's just the flight log (i.e. when were you in which system) you can link both instances of EDD to the same EDSM account. This means your flight log data will be pooled there. If you then activate "From EDSM", every instance will download the flight log data it is missing from when you played on the other PC.

So that should work; but I suggest waiting a little if anyone else has a better idea.

Thinking about it: Are those PCs within the same LAN? If so you could point both EDDs to a Share/NAS, being accessible/used from both instances of EDD. Of course you could also manually copy/paste data across PCs (by any means, incl. USB-Stick), but that would be quite awkward.

If you're syncing to and from EDSM on both computers then that will keep the travel history going across both, but the other data that EDD has since the advent of journals won't be copied across.

You could go for copying the journals between the two computers. If they're on the same network then you can just do it across that, if they're not use dropbox or similar to copy them between the two. If you do this in bulk and the dates are intertwined then you can use the Admin->Re-scan all journal files menu option to get EDD to pick them up.

Once they're in sync you could either copy the new journals from each box onto the other before you start playing or copy \AppData\Local\EDDiscovery\EDDUser.sqlite from the more recently used box onto the other before you start playing on the other one when you switch. If you're switching frequently then you could probably write a couple of batch files so you can do the whole thing with a couple of clicks.

What about running the portable version on USB and plugging it into the computer you're using? Ideally the path to the data files will be same on each computer, but even if it's not it's a small manual change to make each time.

Thanks for those suggestions.

Although I can set up any sort of complex scenario at home to share the data, I really don't want to. I do most of that brain work at the office. When I am at home, I just want to click and play :)

I might have made them sound more complex than they are... my bad, sry.

E.g.: For the NAS one, all you'd have to do is point both EDDs to the location on the NAS, i.e. add one line once to one config file - done.

Of course the USB-solution would be just as simple.

Anyone know why DSS scans are late to show up in EDD.
I'm not sure if it's the 2.4 game update or the 8.2.3 EDD update.

Everything else is real-time. Jumps, Fuel Scooping, texts, etc, all appear in EDD right away.
But DSS scans take 3-5 seconds now to appear in EDD.

Is it just me or did the 2.4 update delay DSS scan data from appearing in the journal?

There was a mistake in 8.3.2 that caused Scan events to be delayed 10 seconds, when it was FuelScoop events that were supposed to be delayed and merged.

is there any fix to having to reboot edd with window reset everytime because half the screen is off to the side when i boot up, irregardless if i drag the screen size over or goto full screen?

Are you closing EDD cleanly (i.e. click the 'X' or press Alt+F4 and leave it alone while it turns itself off) with the window in a good position?

yes,,, and it closes cleanly... but as soon as i re open it,, all the panels on the right hand side are off the screen,, no matter what size i make it, including full screen.. only way i can find to fix it, is to reset windows on shift-- .exe on loading..

Is the window extended off the right hand side of the screen or is the window in the screen with the vertical splitter on the main tab rammed hard to the right?

How many monitors are you running and if more than one which is EDD on?

1 monitor ,, right panels off the window, no matter how far right you drag the windows, including maximizing full screen.... like i use the scan (value) data in the far right top panel,, but i cant see the "ALL" colum because its right out of the window, and cant get to it at all

Just updated to the latest (2 months behind, out in the dark), and can't seem to find the excel export function (not the one in history, but the one that used to be in top bar drop down menu). Each attribute had it's own column.

Thanks!
