Alien archaeology and other mysteries: Breaking News, Theories and Tinfoil Hattery

Not sure where to post this guys, but I've run into a Thargoid and it's symbols are completely round!

Clearly their version of "Elite" right? :p

There is more connecting the Guardians to us, than to the Thargoids, when it comes to biology and environment.

I also find it interesting that Ram Tah referef to the Guardians as 'The Dead', in his mission.
Ram Tah probably has some kind of Egyptian background and may know about 'The Book of the Dead'. The Egyptian 'manual' to the afterlife.

The main god in that one, is Anubis. Also know as the Guardian of the gate. He is usually portraied as a man with a jackal head.

This may be a tiny indication of contact between humans and Guardians, in prehistoric times.

He is in Phoenix Base

But the guardians are dead thousands of years before our time.....which still leaves it open for us being descendants of a somewhat keep the race going somehow idea, our evolution is still just theory to this day...for all we know in real life we could be the descendant of an alien race........

Not unless all creatures on earth are :p

So the Merope5C barnacle is planted by Oresrians as the Ground Zero, pointed to by UA/UP to entice humans (drawn in by UA morse and ship wireframes) to the Pleiades. The barneys produce something (MAs?) useful to both Oresrians (in the first instance) but also the Klaxians who will be drawn to that area....so the Pleiades is the trap where humans will be set up to fight the Klaxians while the Oresrians make their escape. Like it! A truly Machiavellian (MB) plot!

It does all fit together quite nicely...

A little too nicely :)

Regarding the Guardians and a possible link to humans, I got it covered in my thread (see my previous post for banner link) under the subject "ancient astronaut theory" - it is waaaaaaaay out there in terms of possibility, though, and now I'm wondering if Ram Tah lied about all 101 facts uncovered by the ruin scans (Guardians never had red skin, etc) and the real intention was purely for weapons research.

You can go to the Louvre museum in Paris to see first hand the book of the Dead .

Id be interested in theories (or Tinfoil Hattery) on what's going on with the second ship appearing when you drop MA's in a NHSS?

For those that don't know: If you drop into a Non-Human signal and drop 5+ Meta-Alloys, the Thargoid ship scoops them up, and as it's doing so a second Thargoid ship jumps in, sets off an EMP, and... flies around then jumps out. The first ship continues about it's business as usual until it's done, then jumps out as normal.

If you drop only one or two MA's, the Thargoid scoops them and that's it.

I'm seeing very little discussion of this event which, it seems to me, is quite extraordinary.

The second ship appears to completely ignore the human pilot in the situation, if anything it looks like it's more interested in the other Thargoid ship. The reason for the EMP blast is unknown too.

Are there any versions of this encounter that differ from the above? Times when more than one ship arrived, times when no ships arrived?

Speculation on what's happening here?

Id like to note that the patchnotes (before they were taken down) they called the Interceptor a Thargoid Scout. Very interesting

That was a typo surely? Nobody has encountered a flying Thargoid Scout ship yet have they? Only the crashed one ..

Both the player journal logs and the stats panel refer to the Interceptor as a scout too. It must be their internal name for the ship. It may have been re-named to sound cooler, or to make room from the newly discovered craft

Old pre-2.3 spoilers:

It was referred to as the Scout in the game files from the time the crash sites showed up.
