Thanks. I suppose it'l be quite a while before the db repopulates with up-to-date info, though?

And does "Frontier is still up and down with the API" mean that it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't?

By working you mean “not working” because the last comment from a dev friend (not frontier) was that it (frontier api) was still cactus and busted. So unless that’s changed? Still broken.

Sorry. I just installed the new version, and it worked correctly for me. There are probably plenty of issues with the API out there.

Nope. Not working. Reinstalled EDMC, cleared cache, registry, appdata, changed account password. Still nothing. Can't log in.

FDev business as usual.

Thanks for the reminder.

I hadn't even looked at EDMC since the update and only just noticed the problem.

Installed the new update and it didn't seem to be working at first but it looks like it's sorted itself out now. [where is it]

It seems to be propagating slowly. Maybe Frontier needs to do things with the BGS. Borscht is fine, but it's also a low-traffic system, with myself seemingly the only live commander there.

Just realised that I was lying before.

I was getting the "Invalid Credentials" error.
I thought it'd sorted itself out but it just goes away when I'm in flight and only appears when I land at a station - cos that's when EDMC is trying to send data.

Sometimes playing this game makes me feel like I'm trying to install a Betamax VCR in a Ford Pinto. [sad]

Reinstalled EDMC. Restarted ED Launcher, then ran the game. Started EDMC. Still get the Invalid Credentials thing.

Mine's working. Chelbin Station at the CG. No problems for 300 light-years.

Time to consult the experts on EDMC. I'm out of guesses.

Stealthie, you're my kind of guy, but weren't you complaining about the game being too easy? Like, navigational aids, and market tools? :)

Well, in a world where EDDB didn't already exist, and where people had compiled their own records of the best places to trade in ED, I might argue that creating EDDB was "dumbing the game down" and removing an advantage for the people who'd put in the effort to compile their own records.

We, however, live in a world where EDDB already exists so I'm not going to be a jerk about it.
If I was, I wouldn't actually be running EDMC as a means of providing information for other people's benefit, would I?

I'm also hauling Tantalum at a CG to create AX weapons so that a bunch of people who're currently shooting at me in Wolf 397 can use those weapons to go and shoot Thargoids.
