It's always worth checking out, I was online this morning for a quick test and a fellow comrade on TS said he investigated one near Freeport and found a bunch of canisters worth 400 credits each ... :smilie: ... nice way to start the day.
But in true mercenary style he wouldn't tell me exactly where it was ... he'll go far that one lol

I went for the unknown signal for the first time, just recently. I was en-route to Asellus in supercruise, doing >500c when it appeared, in the middle of nowhere.
Immediately stopped to check it out and what I found was astonishing.
A Type9 hauling waste containers at normal speed and moreover, very low speed. He was literally dragging his a**.
Some patient captain and crew inside!
I wonder what's their story and if they're still alive?

Oh yes I found some dropped cargo outside Beagle 2 and Dahan didn't have a black market nor did Morgor Station and went back to beagle and scan just as I was going in and boom.
So anybody else seen where to offload stolen goods?
How Can I gather goods lost in space?I opened the "cargo something" on the right screen, I can see the grid monitor on the left, but I don't know what to do next.

Point roughly toward the cargo, and a blip will appear on the cargo scooping reticule.
Approach at a suitable speed, keeping the blip centred.
Gulp the cargo and sell!

Hmm scooped up 4 tons of Bauxite outside the LP anarchy system and couldnt offload it there because it was stolen i guess.

You can sell it on black market. Not all stations got one.

In premium beta his story was, that he has a licence for treating with toxical waste and he told me, that he is buying out toxical waste cannisters. I have also found few more, buying out other things, but never found one when I had the proper thing in cargo, so I cannot tell if there is some reward behind it.
Freeport has worked for me but not sure in the updated beta.
BTW, when I entered the area of an unknown Signal source I found three transports with escorts. So what can i do here? I think it's suicide to attack them, isn't it?

Getting in without getting scanned/popped seems to be the trick. Will there be devices to shield your cargo from hostile scans ? That'd be sweet
