News Frontier Expo: October 7, 2017!

The girlfriend can't make it tomorrow - so I have a spare ticket, I'm assuming the name on it doesn't matter too much.

Seems the event is sold out, so if someone is now kicking themselves for not getting one, final chance.

Contribution to http://www.specialeffect.org.uk/ would cover it

Also - I'm driving up from south of Dorking (Surrey) early sat, so have a spare seat if someone local want a lift

Worst "do any hot girls want a day out in East London" post ever....

Not a hot girl, but could wear a dress i guess if it helps? Sent a PM.

Definitely kicking myself because i failed to preorder the backer tickets (re: online issues), then got busy with work etc, and they'd sold out totally next time i looked...

Regular London Underground/Tube users

Travelling from Kings Cross to Liverpool St, then onwards to Stratford via the Tube in the morning. When I use a contactless card at the gates, do I need to scan only at Kings Cross (entry) and then Stratford (exit) or at Liverpool St too?

Tube travelled before but not using contactless method.

When using contactless, I would scan at every place you change (to get the best price). However it will probably be fine if you only scanned at start and finish as well (Kings Cross is zone 1 so you're not going to get any zone 1 avoidance anyway). Don't exit the barriers to scan if you do that though, only scan if there's an "changing scanner".

If in doubt, start + end will almost certainly be fine.

Thanks @spansh

Much appreciated

Could not find anyone but managed to buy some fuel at McDonald's station so now im not running on empty.
I can kinda imagine you running out of fuel and putting it on fuel rat website then the next thing you hear in the distance is the A team theme music playingwith an oil truck coming closer with fuelrat stickers on it saying here to refuel when your outta fuel

I wonder if you are all going to turn up in your designer flight suits with appropriate sigils on the left and right shoulder? Don't forget the shades - you folks don't want to look ridiculous after all :p

Let's get the introductions Dunn with:
Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) Simon: Gentlemen, I'd like you to meet your captain, Captain Oveur.
Clarence Oveur: Gentlemen, welcome aboard.
Simon: Captain, your navigator, Mr. Unger, and your first officer, Mr. Dunn.
Clarence Oveur: Unger.
Unger: Oveur.
Dunn: Oveur.
Clarence Oveur: Dunn. Gentlemen, let's get to work.
Simon: Unger, didn't you serve under Oveur in the Air Force?
Unger: Not directly. Technically, Dunn was under Oveur and I was under Dunn.
Dunn: Yep.
Simon: So, Dunn, you were under Oveur and over Unger.
Unger: Yep.
Clarence Oveur: That's right. Dunn was over Unger and I was over Dunn.
Unger: So, you see, both Dunn and I were under Oveur, even though I was under Dunn.
Clarence Oveur: Dunn was over Unger, and I was over Dunn.

(There maybe a hint of jealousy there as you're all going and I'm working over that the weekend)

V2k.
