Something other than British accents??!!

People have their pet hates, But every second time I dock I get the female strong British accent and it makes me want to mash the mute button on my speakers....every....damn...time.

Can we please have some more Traffic control voices??...please I beg of you.... Russian, Australian, German, Swedish....Anything?!

I know there are others, but this one is WAAY to common... It's almost like England took over the entirety of populated space!

take care!

They're Russian sounding ones... A very attractive female Russian sounding one in particular.

I'm just thankful that this game isn't flooded with the usual type of accents we hear all the time in other games.

I'm sorry to report you that traveling around I heard no less than 6 different accents.
Dutch, Russian, Frenchlike... you name it.

I suggest to travel a bit more...

There's Indian, English, American, Singaporean, Australian, Eastern European that I've noticed. Maybe you should just stop hanging in Empire space? ;)

Personally I find the "John Wayne with loose dentures" accent the most irritating.

I have moved my home base(s) to get away from the awful preponderance of 'murican males in Fed space.

Love the south-asia lady, the east European lady, the Caribbean male and the Bury lass.

The OP needs to relocate to Fed space I think.

;)

There is one from lancashire , she sounds so fuuny. It makes my smile when I hear it.

Let's have some american and Canadian once also. Even Chinese speaking English we have to understand them obviously, acients are cool.

Or even a women who sound like she is from an 0898 number.
Prirate stations should have a ooooh arrrrr

You think that's bad, you should be my brother and me. We picked our station particularly because it had the cute sounding woman Flight Control - you all know which one I mean - and after 2.4 we've now got the militaristic sounding American bloke.

Now I've got a home station and umpteen ships I've been at for over a year and have to be greeted by a darn yank.

please make sure you aren't lumping all accents together into a "British" sounding group. Maybe it's just because I live in Ireland, but I can tell you that the accents (even for just the native English speakers) are very broad and include some good distribution into Ireland and other areas. Do try to travel around a bit more though as You'll hear quite a few more accents.

I was very disappointed though that as of 2.4, Kamadhenu's Shajin Market's Space Traffic Controller is no longer a friendly British chap and the voice inside the station is no longer an Asian woman, but some native english speaker so maybe this is a problem with 2.4 (as I saw there were issues with the Space Traffic Controller voicing in the initial release) :(

When docking I heard such a broad variety of accents, that I always found this was very well done. Just a few weeks ago I was just actually telling a friend how nice this particular aspect is done. Including the announcement inside stations I heard East Asian (Chinese?), British, US, a very funny and strong German accent, Arabic and probably other. Espacially US and British in some variety (that I cannot correctly reflect as non native speaker).

Oh, yes, we need Welsh and Edinburgh Scots too. As well as a few more American, Australian and New Zealand ones. And one that is heavily Swedish-accented. :)

One accent that the OP would really love I am sure is a Mexican one - preferably undocumented.

Ay yai yai, bang-bang

(apologies to James Earl Jones & TBBT for that)

yes I noticed those too, there seems to be quite a few accents that the OP isn't tuned into.

I'm just glad there isn't a "Roger That" after every radio transmission, and for the folks who think that "Roger That" is correct radio chatter, well...sorry for you but it ISN'T
Roger means received and understood, adding "that" is redundant, it was added by hollywood to dramatise radio communications, "ROGER THAT" is way more dramatic dude, which in reality means "I'll stick my thingy in that thing".

"Wilco" is correct radio terminology for "I will comply". Dear gringos note that there is no "That" after Wilco.

Radio communication abbreviations are clear and concise "That's" a fact. Hollywood would have a major headache trying to dramatise the hand signals utilised by a real lead/wingman, and two mike clicks means target ahead.

There's plenty of variety in the station voices.

My gripe is with the underwater-Stephen Hawking Engineer base voices.

Why are the Engineers all robots? And why do they sound like they're submerged?

I need answers!

Umm, maybe to accentuate the fact that engineers are busy people and they can't be bothered to man the radio, so they automated radio and approach procedures, just in case one missed the fact that it is a "Rad base" and there be strange folks here "Mon"
