I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
I saw this the other night and really enjoyed it! I think it was a worthy sequel to the original. In fact I'd say it has a tighter story than the first, and definitely fewer cringe-worthy scene. (That 'love' scene with Rachael and Deckard..... ug. lol)

All in all, thumbs up from me. :)

Dude, that love scene with Rachel is 100% cringe!

Thanks for saying this. It could never satisfy certain people as they probably already made up their minds before even seeing it. But I truly believe in Denis Villeneuve as a visionary director and after seeing both Prisoners and Arrival I think he approaches movies like no other director out there now.

Thank you, it made me gain some comfort in that it will all be ok :D honestly.

That statement doesn't ring true. Why would anyone go see a movie that they'd already made up their minds they'd hate?

Apparently there is a whole career structure for them - "critics". There is one "reviewer" who I know from experience I will have the diametrically opposed opinion to. ;)

It was ok, even good. It didn't blow my mind, or feel visionary like the original. In many ways it was quite cautious, and didn't ask any big philosophical questions.

Then again, I don't think the original is 100% perfect either. That one truly was visionary though.

Of course you could do better.. Then why don't you?

Why are people ein relationships or work that they 'hate'.

So they can tell people how much they hated it.

There have just been 2 major film festivals in London full of excellent movies from all over the world from Auteurs that no one has probably heard of

Sometimes you can get a perverse joy from seeing something and hating on it. The Star Wars prequels, viewed with friends, with everyone ranting at the screen.

Think of it less of watching a movie and more like watching a sport.

Sorry but that argument, whenever it is used, is absurd. The fact a critic can't do something doesn't mean they shouldn't criticize things.

I can't plaster walls. If I paid someone to plaster my walls and they did a crappy job I'd still have the right to say so.
