Pay2win is always a good way to seperate the lowlifes from successful players.
At the same time it generates more money for frontier so they can hire better and more skilled developers.....which in return gives us a better game....better experience more fun.
Overall i would pay for content....maybe a really unique ship for, lets say 100$.

I always buy additional content, like in GTA Online....got everything.
For now i have to exploit game mechanics to get all the money fast to buy all the nice shiny things i want.

instead of working towards getting a ship. OP wants to cut it out and spend real cash on getting that ship. killing off the game in the process.

No, it equals the disbalance between newbies and oldies.
And gives those with less time an opportunity to enjoy the game like everyone.

why use exploits. play the game how its meant to be played!
ships a pretty dull unless you paint them and they are paid content!

Pay to win is never good in the long run it just becomes real life the rich have it easy with the only competition is other rich people 1/10 would not approve

I would pay to have different ship light colors though

Oh... There are games that actually allow/encourage this? Seems kinda counter intuitive, but hey, what do I know?

I suggest you check the star citizen then. They implemented the most important stuff first, meaning you can buy the ships 2-3 years before the actual game comes out. Frontier? Not so much. I think they need to run into some serious financial issues with the game before they start adding features that make financial sense.

You know nothing about business. GTA was recently a dead game, until Rockstar made everything available to buy without wasting time to unlock stuff.
All lobbies are populated with players, pay2win works pretty good.

i know there are games out there that follow that marketing strategy. i play none of them.

Coz you one of the not so wealthy people on earth? :D
