Anyone else enjoying seeing the stars you pass flying by in witchspace: nice touch Frontier

It's the ones that seem to follow me that worry me [where is it] .... those blobs of white that appear off to the periphery just before you disengage at the star

They're not stars, you don't travel far enough for them to move like that, and Witchspace / Hyperspace is another dimension.

Its boring and unrealistic....everything would be black while travelling faster than light.

Why would everything be black? I suspect that the stern would be black because light is traveling slower than the ship. But the bow should be full of light since you're traveling against the direction of light that is in front of the ship.

FASTER THAN LIGHT :) says it all....you cannot see the emitted star light because you travel faster than the light.

One step closer to a graphical overlay Orrery!? If FDEV can correctly align the passing stars they should be able to show them on our dashboard.

I don't think they added these "stars" in recently. I think they were there before but they were just white and didn't cast light. When they fixed the graphical issue with the Plasma Cannons (their particles weren't glowing or casting light they were just white pellets), I think it also not-so-coincidentally reactivated the lighting for the "stars" in witchspace.
