The Down Side of New Terrain Models

One of the downsides I see, is something that is currently in game. Having a surface outpost whose data point you have to scan, appearing on the side of a cliff. The outpost is half embedded into the cliff and there is pretty much no way to get to the data point.

Can you drop on it from above?
Or, get another ship to give you a lift up to the beacon?

The only downside is the fact, some nice screenshots I have will need remaking ... tout what a problem... lol

What about the turbolift?

The scourge of the galaxy. Right up there with artificial gravity. Real pilots feel their ride. The force pressing your nuts against the comfy chair. The blood rushing out of your head, creating strange sensations and tastes. The muffled voice of Betty announcing the final countdown once you stare down a cracked frontshield and feel the ice cold fingers of the void reaching out to you.

All that rush comes to an gentle end in the embrace of floating weightless under the stars.

Hmmm....good point. The SRV already gets stuck on or tripped by every single rock or bump in the game. Should be interesting...

If the terrain looks difficult to traverse, find another path. I've gotten my SRV into (and out of) all sorts of scrapes, the only time I've popped them is when I'm travelling over pretty flat ground really fast.

Will it be frustrating, or a challenge? Maybe it depends more on the Cmdr than the terrain itself.
