Community Event / Creation Buckyball Racing Club presents: Fat Tony's Festival of Racing (30 September - 15 October 3303)

Managed to improve my Wasat time and get a good Station Scramble and an acceptable Bubble Tour run in. Which means I don't have the energy for another Ironbucky now. Well, let's hope for the best :p
I'll try to upload the videos of my runs tomorrow afternoon.
Good luck to everybody who's getting last minute runs in, fly fast! :)

I think I'm going to preregister for a Cobra class Ironbucky run at 23:45 tonight which means I'll have to Buckyball my way through work to start my run in time. As long as I start before midnight it counts right? And gmt is the same as game time right?
Good luck! As for the deadline I'm not sure, but GMT/UTC is gametime (only with 1286 years difference).

Cobra mk iii
Srv name: Big Soda
Ironbucky
Cobra class

Wish me luck

Yes, I'll accept your run as long as you begin before midnight.

I've been using GMT as Galactic Mean Time (so yes in game time).

Good luck CMDR. o7

Station Scramble run from last night submitted! Not a top tier time but I'm satisfied with how it went based on that I didn't have time to make practice or recon runs, just carefully set up my bookmarks and went for it. Now it's time to mount an attempt at the Wasat Rally course, I expect to see some of you flying SRVs overhead getting in a few runs.

Okay, Fat Tony's Festival of Racing has now come to a close. Hope you all enjoyed the racing. :D

The Lonnegan Brothers are just double checking all the submitted runs, provisional final tables will be posted around midday galactic time.
The submission forms will remain open for another 24 hours for anyone who began a run before midnight and any adjustments to the final standings will be made once all entries have been received.

Ok I retract my pre-registration, I'm not gonna make it. Still at work [knocked out]

Sorry it didn't work out, I was looking forward to see how your Ironbucky time compared.

Certainly did, thanks Raiko. Really appreciated the opportunity to return to Wasat and the Ironbucky was an epic challenge, just a shame that I only ever got a chance to run it once (shakes first at FX17 and lovely family who kept me distracted over the last two weekends). :p

I join Alec in the thanks Raiko, it's been great to return to Wasat and the Ironbucky idea and execution was a really great novelty! (I hope to see it again in some form in the future)
I'd have liked to put in some more attempts, especially in the Cobra classic (what a fine machine that is), but you know, RL and stuff, didn't even expect to find time for the Ironbucky at first.

I'm sorry for you Alec, being distracted by a lovely family on the weekends, that must feels terrible, but sometimes one's got to do what he has to do. :p

While we wait for the final scoreboards ... my 2nd Wasat run.

Note the change in pace on the music front to reflect the calm zen like state I achieved this time as opposed to the abject panic of the first one.

Watching a sped-up video of a SRV run to the tune of Schubert' Ave Maria, now that's something I didn't expect to do today (or any other day) :D

Going to upload mine too as soon as I find the time! (need to find the most inapproriate soundtrack for it first)

@Alec - go look at the end of the rainbow, there you'll find all the rep that's missing!

- EDIT -

Re: the latest 20 seconds of your video...good execution, wrong technique :p

I don't know how big that video of yours is but it's been "processing" for a hell of a long time now!

Noticed, I guess it'll keep processing until I get back home and bin it. Looks like Youtube itself got stunned by the awesome content. [rolleyes]

What I'm hoping (and don't spoil it by telling) is that you managed to do something that only occured to me much later as even being possible ... and that is to fly straight down and into one of the open garages on the far side of the base, smacking into the back and coming to a stop still inside the garage. Now that would be a thing of absolute beauty! [yesnod]

Is this SRV golf or billiards?
