Yaaay, I've reached two minor milestones. Hence the thread title. If I'd reached three minor milestones the title of the thread would be different...

Ahem...

So yeah, with 1019 hours of play, I am now a member of the 1000+ hour club :D. Not only that, but last night I finally arrived at the first destination on my little tour of the galaxy...

Any guesses? ;)

I have no idea how long i have played since getting the game in 2014 but Steam metrics show to little.

Probably around 3K+ hours of puttering around doing nothing really productive.

Congratulations Cmdr, and because your achievement got me wandering how long I've played - I just checked and, well, it's a cool 1042 hours! So I've joined the club too!

Having taken five weeks (on and off) to get to Jacques (via the formidine rift), I'm now almost reluctant to head off out into the black again!

But hey, needs must, I've got another few places I want to visit before heading back to the bubble! :).

EDIT: Because I didn't want to sit for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours with the Rift on my face, I've been doing most of the journey on my monitor. Just jumped back into VR for a bit and it was like the first time all over again. Lots of looking around going "wooowwww" :D.

Steam counts only for the launchers' runtime, not the game itself. And it doesn't count anything if you start the game using the EDLaunch.exe instead of the steam shortcut.
But there is an ingame counter somewhere at the right hand panel. Maybe among the exploration stats iirc.

A third minor milestone...

...I was last here 17 months ago. I figured I'd swing by and see if anything had changed.

Answer? A spangly new tourist beacon, an orca, and a beluga. Yep, it's a popular tourist spot these days!

I'm heading out towards Beagle Point now, but I'm still at A*.
Are there any sparkly places I should visit on my travels in that direction?
