Hi all o7
I've done a LOT of reading these past few days on the Cutter and Corvette. I like to think I'm well informed of the advantages and disadvantages of both as well as the paths to unlock each one. One thing keeps popping into my mind though.
I don't mind grind, I have a much higher than average tolerance to it. I'm even thinking of just getting both ships, so choice isn't the issue for me. The question I need to ask is which to get first.
For those who share my laxed mindset towards grind, why would you not get the Cutter first? The Corvette is an amazing ship no doubt, but you are kind of stuffed if you then want to get the Cutter. Your jump range is abysmal, your cargo capacity could have been better, and it will be a bit if a pain to do anything other than combat.
If you choose the Cutter first on the other hand, you can perform well in every aspect. This will make it a LOT easier to get the Corvette. It's superior capacity, speed, jump range and module sets will ease off the pressure a bit when progressing towards the Corvette. If you went down the Federal route first, you are giving yourself a handicap for the next leg.
What do you guys think? Is there any reason at all not to get the Cutter first if you plan on getting both eventually?
