Colonia data missions?

Just need to know where to pick them up, then I can head out there.

Thanks.

Edit: So, I have a spot to cast off from, problem now is, I would have a week to get there, so either I spend half a day every day flying to get there, or I probably end up late. Why is it only a week, and not three weeks like passengers, why?

There isn't any one location. They spawn randomly in the mission board, go pray to RNGesus for a while. Maybe sacrifice a small animal...

Maia, Plieone, Merope, and the 2 hips, you will find 2-3 colonia missions at each base, make a circuit dropping data between while gathering a full load for colonia, easy rank additions as all bases have 2of3 superpowers.

Come to Friend gateway in LTT 13904, because currently they're dominating the damn mission board, both Colonia and Ratraii, and not leaving much room for local missions, I'm off to find something more sensible.

I believe this has been changed, Colonia transport missions are in systems with tourism economies now, I believe. There certainly aren't any in sol any more, where a couple of weeks ago they were everywhere.

I noted a few of these colonia bound mission types when I were doing Passenger missions at Rhea. Pretty fequent too.

you could also pick up a few colonia bound Passenger missions. Get double bang for your buck.

Although is it me or is the payout to Colonia is not as sexy as it used to be

It's not about the payout. I want to go there and explore, as my first trip outside the bubble. But I want something to take there, so I don't just arrive empty handed, and passengers reduce jump range with the bulky cabins, and at times can be really whiny, so best not take them.

Also, want to take my time looking around, and not have to worry about the passengers in my hold waiting to be returned.

Ah fair enough. Probably touring the Bubble rim worlds will yield you a fair bunch of data missions. What are you flying? I trust something like a DBX, AspX or Anny? A ship with some jump meat

DBX. Don't have the cash for anaconda, and the Asp just doesn't jump as far. I'm willing to take slightly worse internals for better jump range, means I need less jumps to get places. Oh, and the DBX fuel tank leaves me at ease if I hit a brown dwarf field.

Because Frontier don't listen to feedback, and don't test the play experiences they create. A lot of input was given regarding this exact issue and people asked for longer mission timers but the only change that was made is a drastic reduction in the number of missions available and the number of locations you could get them from. If you manage to make the courier missions work out for you I'll be really interested to hear how it goes.

I MIGHT be able too. See I found out the problem is the route plotter doesn't divert towards neutron fields, so it doesn't reduce the jumps enough. However, I was told of a system, I'll have to look back on the forums for it, but it's bookmarked, that would apparently lead me onto the neutron highway.

I'll jump over there and test if it works when I cam next get on my Xbox (can't really use third party tools effectively instead). Shame we can't just set waypoints to guide the route plotter to the neutron highway without going out there ourselves.

You probably already know this, but you can plot a much more efficient neutron route here: https://www.spansh.co.uk/plotter

Dunno if it's worth the efficiency in exchange for all the alt-tabbing you'll have to do but that's what I always used when going to/from Colonia.

edit: never mind. I must have glossed over the part where you said you were on Xbox.
