Sirius Corporation Relationship

Did a great wad of missions for them, saw zero progress when I handed them in. Is progression especially difficult with these guys, or am I just woefully underestimating the time it will take to become allied?

Check again ;)

The faction status meter sometimes needs a little time to catch up. But the easiest (for me) way to get a good faction rep if I'm in a hurry is to look up one of these "road to riches" lists (I like this one) and dump a few million Cr. of exploration data in their laps.

Honestly, I think the quickest way to get allied is do a decent run out into the black and come back with a load of exploration data... and yeah, you need to mode flip or relog to get the mission board to realise you ranked up with them in influence.

Edit: So what he said. :)

Why not do the road to riches for the data and earn some mula https://pastebin.com/hCf3iwe6
The first 50 of those earns around 60m from memory. Though it never takes you away from the bubble so you might want to do a 5kly run for engineer Professor Palin and kill two birds with one stone.

Some of the missions only give you +1 rep others, such as passengers will give +3 so pick carefully.
But as others have said go do a 5k run and drop off the data there. Job done and Palin to boot. Just make sure you get the invite before turning around.

Agreed with all of the posts here, that's how I did it! Worth noting though that you won't even get the initial message from Palin until you've unlocked Qwent to level 3, so don't worry about not receiving the invite, just keep an eye on how far you've travelled from your starting system in your stats in your right-hand panel; I went about 100 ly beyond the 5k just to be certain. Then when you've unlocked Qwent far enough you should get the first message, and logging out/in should result in the invite following that. o7!

Edit: personally I found it more of a PITA to get the modular terminals to unlock Qwent than I did doing the 5k to unlock Palin!

Anything that earns you a profit in a Sirius Corp owned station (except smuggling now) will gain you reputation. Missions is the slowest way to become allied, unless you can regularly stack 20 missions.

I hate road to riches and other such lists that try to tell me where to fly. Defeats the purpose of ED.

Agreed, but I didn't actually use the RtR, so much as use the method outlined in it. I made a ton of credits searching out high-value planets (ELW's, WW's & HMC's, both terraformable and vanilla), all sub-1kly of the bubble. Plus, I brought back a fair old whack of explo data from doing the 5kly for Palin, too! [smile]

Ha Ha! Completely forgot about Quent or maybe a mental block brought on by modular terminals.😄
