Holy hell! Nice work ... looks like I have some catching up to do.

All of the Megaships* move now.

* okay not the ones the Thargoids broke

Thanks Keybuk,

As you may have noticed from previous updates - the spreadsheet is parallel to Alecs OP which I made to make it easier to plan trips by seeing the distances for all / or to tick them off etc. I've used it to travel over 30k ly to visit a vast amount of them so far :).

Alec - based on this info that Keybuk provided and from your comments mate, do you recon it might be easier to split out all the movable megaships then not have a location, but show a link to the routes (where poss) instead?

[big grin] Thanks mate and sorry for the amount of extra work lol. It taken a lot of effort to get all those together over the last few weeks! My next mission is to visit all the INRA bases then probably sleep for a few months hahaha

Added these, more to do later.

Also added all the INRA bases now.

I think I might draw the line at crashed human ships - I know there are many (or at least used to be) that weren't fixed POI's - I can imagine there are hundreds of crashed ships dotted around the galaxy.

I guess I already had these as of this morning (hadn't spotted they were in your list too).

I'll add this last batch tomorrow.

I have to say, the longer the list gets, the more I question the merit of even having it. When I started this thread these things were new and rare and I wanted to give people the chance to go and see a few of them. If there are hundreds then .... phew, I dunno. Is it worth it? Anyone got any thoughts/appreciation to stave off my crisis of faith? :p

Interesting, I'll think on it. Keybuk ... you really think they ALL move? I mean, if they're ALL gonna move (and yes, I know in theory any megaship "can" move, doesn't mean FD will actually bother moving them tho) then there's not much point having a separate section, I just need to plough on with my "moving" links to the "flight operations" page as and where it becomes necessary.

Don't apologise, you're doing a fantastic job of keeping me informed ... really ought to go and discover some for myself. Oh, and the INRA trip is well worth it. Do them in the right order. I'm on a VR tour of them at the moment (three down, three to go) and the mood and story progression as you visit each one is fantastic!

@Alec - it's a valuable resource - I've been wondering the same thing, but I think that these things are still rare enough to be exceptional. And even if we get to the point where they're commonplace in the Bubble, the more far-flung ones will be worth keeping track of.

Fingers crossed mate. I know everyone really appreciates your hard work. For me personally, I wanted to go and visit interesting places and you gave us the tool to be able to do that. By using the info you've gathered, I've now been on two trips of countless thousands of LY's and if I'd just visited the Formidine rift megaship but without all the asteroid bases, settlements, etc, it'd of barely been worth it. I've taken about 2000 screenshots from the last trip altogether. I've still got the 700 to cut down now. Screenshots are my main motivation as they rotate on a 55" 4k TV. You've given lots of improvements to the collection!

Thanks a lot :D. Nah mate, you deserve an apology from me as I know how long it's taken me so my apology is sincere! Thanks for the advice! I haven't used the vive in ages tbh (I only normally use it for CQC). Only trouble for me is the 4K images are what I'm after, but yeah you're right, I should put it to good use :D

Yeah, definitely a valuable resource. I'd suggest keeping the static locations listed, then having any movable megaships separated with a link to a static page of routes if ones exists elsewhere... Frontier should have that kind of thing listed, surely? Does anyone know where the megaship destinations are held by Frontier? Hopefully it's not just internal

I surveyed them all this week*; they all now have Flight Operations Plans, and all of them got an XXX-999 added to their name.

The big question to me is what happens on Wednesday Night. Do they all leave their current location and onto the next (which we now know, for all of them, yay!) and come back in six weeks.

OR do they all jump to their next location, leaving the version without the XXX-999 in its name back in its original system again?

We'll find out tomorrow night I guess

* okay, I dispatched minions the 6,000 LY to IC 1805, sometimes it's nice to have a department

OK, I've updated all the megahips in the OP that have an entry in the Cannon Flight Operations site with a "moving" qualifier and I've also added a note at the start of the megaships section warning that the location of these may not always be up to date.

I had two slightly mis-matched duplicate entries in the Megaships lists which I've now struck out. If we get definite confirmation that those are in fact the same ships as the suggested duplicates then I'll simply merge their lists of user names and remove the duplicates.

Thanks for words of encouragement - I guess I'll plough on then!

Let me see if I've got this correct, all the flight plans have 5 systems? So the ships get to system 5 and then on the next jump go back to system 1 in a loop?

If yes, are the flight plans published anywhere? (I see that the Canonn website only gives the current location)

Which were the dupes?

6 systems.

The flight plans are published for each megaship in its own article, e.g. Riker Class Prison Ship TFL-853

(I haven't figured out a way to make the overview page link to them yet, it's an embedded Google Sheet, I've used =HYPERLINK but apparently the Google API strips that out - solutions gladly taken in PM!)

Oh, literally on the front page, duh

My notes:

Collionson Class Asteroid Ship (not dockable) - Gateway - confirmed missing, we're checking back every week to see if it's just moving on a different schedule to the rest, but no sign so far.

Aquarius Class Tanker ALF-895 (attacked) - HIP 17962 3 A - this POI was relocated to HIP 17225. I'm pretty sure that FDev typo'd its original location, and it was supposed to have been put in 17692 (where there is an attacked Alcatraz Class now). ie. there should never have been an attacked ship in the bubble, outside of the Pleiades.

Sagan Class Tourist Ship TEL-121 - IC 1805 Sector DQ-Y E3 - this is a dupe, DQ-Y e3 is simply the 2nd and 6th stops of this megaship; AV-O c6-6 is the 1st, 3rd, and 5th. It'll also be found in AV-O c6-5 in a couple of weeks (4th stop).

Just to be clear; we don't know what's going to happen tonight. There are two possibilities, illustrated by the examples:

1. Hogan Class Bulk Cargo Ship DAL-658 moves from Tapirape to Keiadir; no megaship will be found in Tapirape until it returns in 5 weeks time.

2. Hogan Class Bulk Cargo Ship DAL-658 moves from Tapirape to Keiadir; but leaves a "shadow" behind in Tapirape named just "Hogan Class Bulk Cargo Ship" as before. And in 5 weeks time, the duplicate is overwritten again.

Even if 1 or 2 happens, it's not clear which is actually intended. There's evidence they intend 1, but that doesn't explain Cargo Vessel Ford Prefect as a static POI, which this week contains Banner Class Bulk Cargo Ship TIH-562 instead, suggesting they actually intend 2 or even 3 (both ships appear together)
