The light system on the dark sides of planets never really bothered me, but have a look at this:

So everything goes very light if you are on the dark side of a moon or planet, not really a problem for me. However, if you are on top of the galactic core, the effect is immense, because the whole galaxy brightens up - just for you :

It looks like some kind of filter, but this is just like it looks ingame.
