A few suggestions:
  1. Post preferably your own gameplay, otherwise state the source the gameplay is from.
  2. Add your video to this table, so that we maintain an overview of all posted videos so far: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bGnv9KAW-_3Tg_-GlymWSfCh4c4-QkrWzW_LzWYFw2M/edit?usp=sharing
  3. Every platform is welcome.
  4. Feel free to discuss about gameplay you have seen here. Not every post has to contain a new video or stream.
  5. If you like, add a screen from the video after the URL (see examples)
  6. I suggest using a similar layout to the examples below. Give a short summary about what is shown in the video and choose a descriptive title. If the video is a bit longer, it helps if you add some timestamps in your description (see example 1).

Some tips and tricks for sharing content for our PS4 users
General Tips
  • trimming videos significantly reduce the file size and build a good basis for directly uploading or editing them (e.g. with ShareFactory)
  • save a video after every scene you like (Share +
    b_square.png
    ) --> when trimming the video you can jump right to the end and have the scene you want
  • trim your saved videos directly after your play session (as you have the scenes still in mind)
A small tutorial how to trim videos on your PS4 without using ShareFactory (many people don´t seem to know that feature):

  1. Select Capture Gallery

  2. Select the game and video clip you want to trim

  3. Press Options and select Trim

  4. Start the trim process (choose the scene you want to save)

  5. Press OK (overwrite or create a new video). If you want to create a second trimmed video out of the same source file, choose the latter option
  6. Now you can upload a trimmed clip or use the clips as a basis for editing (e.g. with ShareFactory)

I approve of this thread! We have lots of screenshot threads (Screenie(s), The-Official-Explorers-Photography-Thread, Gratuitous-Selfie-Thread, Planet-showcase-post-your-most-beautiful-shots-that-you-are-really-proud-of) but thus far I don't think we've had a general "post your gameplay videos" thread.

I've got hundreds (mostly Buckyball race attempts set to music) but here's my latest ..

I promise I'm not going to swamp this thread with my video backlog but there are just two more I wanted to share.

First off, this is me messing around at the San Tu scientific installation (near planet 4C) in an Imperial Courier (this basically led to me hosting the "Tunnel Vision" Buckyball Race some time later) ..

And this is taken from the "Kick the Alien (and run like hell)" Buckyball, an SRV race which involved driving down to one of the first alien crash sites to be discovered (Pleiades Sector AB-W B2-4 planet 9A). Basically I was flying around the site filiming some of the other competitors. At one point I heard this distant explosion and then next thing I know, I see this lone SRV wheel rolling past which I then decided to follow.

As the very fine cmdr Alec Turner above, I've got plenty of videos but almost all of them are "just" race recordings from the many Buckyball races we had in these last years, with the occasional blooper/shenanigans reel thrown in from time to time. I'll start with something "a bit different" I made just yesterday...guess for what? Yes, that's another race! :p

Some great videos here, thanks for posting!

@Alec: didn't know about that scientific installation, looks great. My first thought was that it's a CQC map.
@Brrok: I like the mining video a lot - some great camera angles and details. The transitions could be a bit smoother (some simple crossfading like in my mining vid above).
@Akenbosch: some nice flying..

Hmm, link removed... Would actually be interested in seeing the hunt for Salomé, especially after reading Premonition to compare it.

San Tu is a particularly good one but there are a LOT more where that came from ...

A video of my first Thargoid Encounter (pre 2.4). I didn't expect that at all and wanted to run fast (as I was afraid and quite new to the game and didn't want to loose my ship). Great ingame moment for me.

Was doing a kill skimmers mission today, I normaly stay away from the skimmer at the base it sends you to since that tends to get you wanted. But it was Anarchy, so hey why not? But then theres a security asp, I'm aboslut sure he attacks me when I attack the skimmers Anarchy or not. 100% sure.
... But I never really tested that, did I? So, for science!

Having survived that and solved the problem I go back to the planet since I still need more skimmers. Driving about in my srv just after destroying a couple skimmers from a POI I am suddenly under attack again. I guess there was one of the random security ships parked on the surface poi somwhere nearby that I didn't noticed.

There isn't any built-in recording/capture functionality. However, both AMD and NVIDIA drivers include passable recording software (ReLive and ShadowPlay, respectively) and there are several solid third party options.

Not sure if anyone has posted a guide here or not, but the best option is highly dependent on one's particular system.

Well, unfortunately I rarely have the nVX running, but there was this time I was interdicted by a CMkIV pirate in a D-rated Sidey.
With several million credits in exploration data on board. And in the star's corona for added drama. Thank god for the police. :)
