WW with an atmosphere of 85% Oxygen??!!!

Like it says. I found this just now and the atmosphere is very nearly 86% Oxygen, which I cannot but help thinking would be a little bit inconvenient! Especially if you like a smoke...

I usually pay attention to atmospheric composition of the WW and ELW I find and that's a first for me!

There's another reason to never land on that planet. Ya know how insect body size is related to oxygen levels? Yeah, we're talking mosquitoes the size of small aircraft on that world. And let's hope there are no spiders there.

86% of 0.06 atmospheres though. Or the same amount of oxygen available at 5% of one atmosphere. Things won't be spontaneously combusting and your cigarette won't be exploding. Or even lighting.

Oh yeah, well spotted. I guess I just saw the 'headline' and ran with it.

Having said that, with such a low pressure... how come the oceans don't just boil off?

Erm. 301K average temp so there won't be a permanent ice sheet over most of the planet trapping the water. I don't know how it's managing to have liquid water in significant quantities.
