....or not :D

Took on a mission to transport some uranite to Dahan which paid just over 3 grand. It needed to be delivered within 4 hours

Dahan was several systems away but got there relatively quickly

Unfortunately i hit boost inside the space station and slammed into the back wall losing the 1 unit of uranite i was supposed to deliver (Damn you pad 29)

Respawned in azeban city with the default ship and no uranite, initially tried to find uranite in several systems with no luck

Decided to write off the mission as a failure

Fast forward, with 15 minutes left to go on the mission i found myself in a station with uranite about 3 or 4 systems from Dahan.

Decided to go for it, bought the 1 unit of uranite

Blazed my way through all the systems, reached dahan gateway with about 6 minutes to go

Requested docking, granted no probs, pad 16

Coasted in carefully so as to not repeat my earlier mistake

Got to pad 16

There was a hauler sitting there

Could not land

Tried to budge it out of the way no luck, went outside and requested docking again. Still pad 16

Went back in ... hauler still there

Time ran out on me and i now have a fine of 700+ credits to pay for the failed mission and lost out on the 3000+ credits.


Quite amusing really....

This might not have helped you as you had so little time left, but supercruising away from the station and then back again, before docking, often clears glitches like this.

For future reference, you can park on top of the smaller ships sometimes, go full shields, and descend like a loon; you may get grabbed by the docking clamps and be able to do the hand-in before you explode.

Haha! I was playing with a new VoiceAttack setup and accidentally did this just now, losing 200k worth of cargo!

Abort! Abort! BANG. :eek:

Every easier way: Save & quit to main menu, start playing again immediately. You'll be 20k from the station.
