People opinion will ruin this game.

Well, I am completely against "people" imposing their tastes and opinions on a project that does not belong to them. (No, it does not belong to us, it belongs to David Braven, we only pay movie tickets for YOUR movie "it's metaphor")

It's like Tolkien had written The Lord of the Rings asking people what they wanted them to say or not. "What a it would have been".

Elite Dangerous started and started as a Swiss watch, since they started doing what the people going downhill asked for.
My simple opinion[heart]

People should only listen to my opinion, in my opinion. :p

I'm hoping Sandro (and the rest) only listen to constructive feedback, like holes in the crime mechanics. Not "but mah immerrshun!" or any of the other general whining. :p

difference being, we are human we only get certain amount of time on this planet, we only have so much leisure time, so we inform the devs the type of game we would like to be playing in the leisure time. obviously we cant force them to do it, but you would think that if they want us to keep playing, they would make us happy

if someone owns a restaurant and refuses to make the food that the customers want to eat, they would go out of business. how dare customers decide what they want to eat.

also there are more and more restaurants opening all the time.....

We could all make the same opinion about any major game released today, gamers views and expectations are pretty insane and reality has gone out the window and the nerf bat has gone into overdrive it seems and i would rather my games don't change too much from one day to the next but hey that's publishers and gamers for you.

With that consept sushi bar´s should serv me a fried chiken if i demand it. dont u think.

Politics would be better if we didn't get to vote too... I mean why worry about the opinions of the people who you depend on for continued existence, right?

Opinions suck, and nature abhors a vacuum.

(Is this guy trolling unintentionally through obliviousness?)

If 60% of the cusomters paying for sushi openly stated they wanted fried chicken on the menu, you can bet your (bum) they would serve fried chicken. 'Tis all capital in capitalism!

This is comparing apples to oranges.

People giving feedback based on their opinions helps the developers improve this game, and to be honest, I prefer Elite having bookmarks, module storage, and engineers being more usable than they were at launch. These features came through opinion based feedback from players to the devs. Let's be clear, we as players aren't going to get everything we ask for, but if we never ask for something, we will never get anything.

So, in your opinion, me eating fried chicken next to you eating sushi means you are unable to enjoy your sushi.... because I am enjoying my fried chicken? I be you loathe food courts... lol

You make a good point, and yes, ideally the game should be developing along a planned path. That path is unknown outside of FDev, but circumstances and priorities change, things sometimes turn out harder (or easier) than intended, and are implemented later, sooner or in some cases not at all.

It can be frustrating to see dev time 'wasted' on a thing you don't want, for the thing you want to be delayed. But it would also be rather arrogant not to take on board live feedback from the players. In all but very few cases FDev can take or leave any feedback from the community, in the case of multi-crew they left it as-is, in the case of ship transfers they decided to implement it but put it to a community poll to decide whether there should be a delay or not. Some are bitter about this where it didn't go the way they wanted.

It is still FDev's decision to take the game in whatever direction they see fit though. For me, I just want them to get on with it, start setting & hitting deadlines, and if there is some reason for a delay, to let us know that reason & give a new eta.
