People opinion will ruin this game.

For the original question, people opinion is the only hope for the avoidance of the game's ruin.

That is what I meant by "we".

Community consensus.

If a balance of the virtues can be nurtured, the crowd can bear wisdom to which even the most conceited individual can subscribe.

Or not.

Depends if you like Clowns.

You are suggesting he should have said something else.

You have interpreted my straightforward question as rhetoric. I am looking for clarification on how to answer the question. 'We' could mean him/her and their partner/friend(s), or it could have included me in the group.

My second statement does imply that I do not wish to be included in the group, or that I do not feel I should be. I know what I know, I don't know what Genus knows (or you).

That is what I meant by "we".

Community consensus.

I don't know what the consensus is. I know what I think, I wrote it above :)

Well, I am completely against "people" imposing their tastes and opinions on a project that does not belong to them. (No, it does not belong to us, it belongs to David Braven, we only pay movie tickets for YOUR movie "it's metaphor")

It's like Tolkien had written The Lord of the Rings asking people what they wanted them to say or not. "What a it would have been".

Elite Dangerous started and started as a Swiss watch, since they started doing what the people going downhill asked for.
My simple opinion[heart]

I don't recall Tolkien crowd funding his book.. Nevertheless you make a good point, it does belong to Braven[noob]. Reminds me of a quote from JK Rowling..

To a goblin, the rightful and true master of any object is the maker, not the purchaser. All goblin-made objects are, in goblin eyes, rightfully theirs

Also Tolkien and Rowling didn't sell "season passes" for their works. Imagine Rowling selling the Harry Potter series with the first book.

Oh crap. I should not have pictured that.

Your metaphor is a fail...

Its not a book or a movie - its a game. Books/movies are not interactive. Games are.

...and there is no "story" to be found in any case.

So yer saying our opinions don’t count fer squat...cool. I think yer opinion ain’t worth the paper it’s written on...see what I did there?

There's nothing wrong with opinions... it's the weight they are given that gives them power.

Without power, opinions are just statements with no bearing whatsoever.

I shall take the OP's opinion into consideration, then eat it. Afterwords my opinion will be endowed with his troll power! Off to pack meh bags and live under the local bridge...

But... who is imposing? Who has the power to impose anything? There are so many contradicting voices here.

I have put forward many, many proposals, but never in a negative, demanding, imposing or entitled way.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Elite, simply because I love this game.

In the end the devs decide and I accept their decisions.
I would only stop playing if this became a multiplayer-only game.
