You know, I had exactly that happen to me except with an AspX. I got jumped and destroyed, and after buyback discovered that a strange selection of modules was no longer present. All my engineered weapons, my shields, and scanners were gone, but my engineered FSD was still there. I have no memory of pushing anything other than the rebuy button. Bug?
there is a bug were optional modules are not being bought on the rebuy screen.
BR it, they will refund your loss. this has happened to me twice.
you had enough credits for the complete buy back? You might want to file a bug report, chances are Fdev will fix it even if it is your fault.

easily. But I didn't really check if everything was checked. Also I am of the opinion thet 'death' should be more costly then it is hence - I will put my money where my mouth is and just get the stuff back... and re-engineer it.
