Star Citizen Discussions v7

Just a little monetization idea for CiG:

How about, when your ship dies, there is a timer before you can respawn. And a button that says "respawn my ship NOW! (costs 1000UeC)". Of course, those with LTi have a reduced respawn timer... [haha]

Aint that the official version already?

3.1 of course. Keep up. :D

Woah there Nelly! We don't know that for sure - don't forget, CR has committed to quarterly updates after 3.0 (thanks to the all-new, never-before-implemented delta patcher, gasp!), so we might be getting 3.25, 3.50, 3.75 etc. Or maybe they'll number the quarterly patches in different ways depending on the amount of fidelity contained therein, e.g. 3.0001, 3.0002, 5,792.1, 3.0004.

Can't wait to find out though!

I wonder where we go after Alpha 3.0? I stopped wondering about WHEN long ago .....

Chief

Come on. Everyone knows that the real deal is in 3.1. 3.0 is just a stop gap for the real jesus patch that will include the actual netcode optimization, mining and a ton of other content. 3.0 is so passé. The real break through is always a patch or 2 away.

Looks nice, though there's quite a bit of pop-in on the rocks, the amount of bloom given off by the atmosphere makes it look like something out of a damned dream sequence, and it still doesn't showcase an orbit-planet transition. The suddenly terrible framerate at the very end might be caused by the recording process, too.

from the speed of ship that you can observe at the end, and the speed at witch the sun rise, I would say that the planet is really tiny.

Kinda have to laugh at how he/she renames the manufacturers and ship model names.

That's because its a moon, not a planet.

Also keep in mind the 1/4 and 1/10 sizing in place in game.

This pops up for some reason.

SHOP KEEP: That's pretty much everything we got.

Is it ironic?

Yeah, I wonder how big they really are, I faintly remember some estimates were claiming around 200-300 km, but it might be even smaller.

Immense fun awaits on the barren surface.

Unfortunately my ISP has that site blocked. Any chance someone can mirror it?
